I want to make it very clear to anyone who stumbles upon this thread. We are alive. We have a thriving Melee scene as well as soon to be Ultimate Scene. We simply do not use Smashboards for communication. If you want to find us, you need to come to our Facebook page, and then find the relevant Discord for your needs. Everything in this thread is out of date.

I will do my best to come back to this thread when I remember about it and update it so that we have the most recent links for all of the community links. It was by chance that I remembered to come here today.

"Wesley Christopher Sun, age 22, passed away on the 8th of February, 2011 and was born on the 21st of January 1989 to Elaine Delaune Sun and You Tai Sun. The first two years of Wesley’s life was as a resident of Jeanerette, then relocating to New Iberia.

Wesley enjoyed youth soccer, enjoyed music, was friendly and compassionate, he enjoyed playing chess. He loved animals, especially his dog, Lady. Wesley enjoyed art. He entered art competitions, and exhibited his works. One of his works of art, was the mural at the entrance to Westgate High School.

In education, Wesley excelled in every way, being the brilliant young man that he was. Wesley attended Daspit Elementary School, and in the fifth grade was selected as student of the year. At Belle Place Middle School, Wesley excelled in math, and had entered over twenty math competitions. His first two years of high school was at Westgate, then he was chosen to attend the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts. He was a senior at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, maintaining a 4.0 grade average. His field of study was as a Computer Science Major.

As an example of the fine student that he was, the University of Louisiana, Lafayette will honor Wesley by conferring posthumously his degree in April."

just got back from FC3, u can check my hell-a-long shoutouts in the shoutout thread.

man..crazy stuff!!!...and now i have so much more experience and learned so many more things to get better. I'm guessing i got around 70th place out of 160(?). which i know i could have gotten better, because i literally got less than 5 hours of sleep in those 3 days. My eyes were hurting just to keep them open in my 2nd pool. Anyway...i know now, how important sleep is, lol.

I really want to go to one of these tournies and get to play all u guys, and get to meet flaref0x, but i'd still need a ride from someone since i really don't know my way around....well anything. and i doubt anyone wants to bring me to a tournament immediately after i just went to FC3.
Nonetheless maybe in a couple weeks i'll get my chance, if work doens't interfere.


2 questions. what time do they usually start at? what do u win?

Nah...i'd love you to come and spread the FC3 wiseness ^_^. But...it would be atleast a four-and-a-half hour drive for me to pick you up and bring you, since Houma is completely out of my way . I think Zelse (from Berwick) is pretty close to you in Houma (something like 45 min. or so). It'd work a lot better if you and he could carpool or w/e.

Really? That's pretty cool. How'd you like his Fox? He and QDVS are crazy with their joystick-only stuff.

I'd say it will take a while for LA to pwn FL, if Taylor is anything close to the best you guys got. I can't even compete with FL's best, among them are Rock, QDVS, Noucles, Lambchops, Cloud, Maverick, Flowin, the G-Spot crew, Thomas Tipman, and plenty others. I was only a taste of what FL has to offer.

If any of you have DC++, you should look up some of the aforementioned people, you might find some vids you like. I also have quite a few vids up of myself vs. Rock/QDVS. They're pretty old though, so don't judge too harshly.

I personally think, we don't have a deffinative "best"...but...i have faith i will reclaim my throne, once i master these new tricks and strats i got from the pros at FC3.

My main: Doc and Zelda. I'm an EX-Falco player, as i've recently decided to pick up Ice again.
After seeing all the pro falcos at FC3...i learned how disgustingly ANNOYING they are first hand..and i don't want to improve my falco anymore if my oponents will have to deal w/ the kind of frustration i dealt with. Instead...i'll just infinite combo w/ Ice and they can put the controller on the ground and take a nap.

The chicken nuggets don't seem to be working though. Maybe I should try some Lebanese food and wear earplugs during the tournament. I don't know. I'm superstitious.

I'm afraid I'm in such a terrible position right now as far as the tournament goes. I have to go practice so I can do better--or I'll be laughed at again by the almighty one...
