The Despot Takes His Share: Tyrantrum Joins The Battle!

Overview:
Tyrantrum is Pokemon #697 in the National Pokedex and it's highly unique design among Smash's many combatants, that of a theropodan dinosaur, as well as it's array of moves, would allow it to be unique from other Pokemon in the series. It would also represent an aspect of the Pokemon games not represented in Smash so far in any vein; Fossil Pokemon. To this date, Super Smash Bros. has never had a Fossil Pokemon appear in gameplay, either from a Pokeball, in any backgrounds or as an actual fighter. Tyrantrum would not only be unique in that regard, but it is considered pretty popular by fans the world over due to it's design, stats and moveset.

Tyrantrum's natural stats from the Pokemon franchise already lend themselves to it's proposed playstyle, with high physical stats and a surprisingly fast speed for it's size. Because of it's hefty weight in the Pokemon series (which is 595.2 pounds), Tyrantrum would undoubtedly be a heavyweight fighter; in fact, the heaviest. It's 8'2'' size also makes it among the largest contestants as well; and because of this, it's fairly easy to hit. It's air game is not astonishing, and it's weight makes it difficult to recover from far distances with just jumps, but overall Tyrantrum is a heavy hitter with a lot of weight.

Moveset:
Physical Attacks:
A: Tyrantrum snaps it's jaws slightly forwards, doing about 4% damage. If repeatedly pressed, Tyrantrum's finisher will be a headbutt, which causes about 7% damage.
Up-Tilt: Tyrantrum does an upwards headbutt, knocking foes into the air and doing about 8% damage. Does the same thing in the air as it does on the ground.
Side-Tilt: Tyrantrum swipes with one of it's legs, causing 6% damage and pushing foes away. In the air, it will instead do a headbutt.
Down-Tilt: Tyrantrum sweeps it's tail in a circle, knocking foes away and doing about 8% damage. In the air, Tyrantrum will thrust it's legs down harshly, spiking foes below it in the air.Up-Smash: Tyrantrum does a powerful upwards headbutt, causing 10% damage.
Side-Smash: Tyrantrum lunges forwards and kicks with both hind legs, using it's tail for support. Does 15% damage.
Down-Smash: Tyrantrum does a short hop and hits the ground with high force, dealing 18% damage.

Special Attacks:
B (Hyper Voice): Tyrantrum roars loudly, causing 10% damage to a foe and dealing a good amount of knockback. Like Charizard's Flamethrower, Hyper Voice can also be aimed by tilting the control stick while performing it.
Up-B (Aerial Ace): Tyrantrum lunges into the air, causing 15% damage and very little knockback, allowing the move to end a combo. The direction it goes depends on where you aim it with the control stick.
Side-B (Fire Fang): Tyrantrum bites down harshly on a foe, dealing 25% damage normally. When used in the air, Tyrantrum will lunge forwards, making it a good way to kick off a recovery. Fire Fang also acts like a peusdo-grab, letting Tyrantrum throw it's foe to either side.
Down-B (Iron Tail): Tyrantrum harshly swings it's tail in a circle, causing 20% damage to foes and dealing high knockback.

Final Smash:
Tyrantrum's Final Smash is called Prehistoric Panic. When activated, Tyrantrum will use Earthquake, which will cause any opponent on the ground to be stunned. Tyrantrum then lunges towards the nearest foe (or foes if more than one foe is caught in the same spot), where the Despot Pokemon furiously assaults them with Frustration, then slams them to the floor before leaping to the top of the screen and unleashing the powerful Hyper Beam; a large, black-and-purple beam of energy that can catch even those who weren't caught by the initial attack. Hyper Beam cannot be steered at all, but it's size alone makes that less needed than it was for Lucario's Aura Storm. Overall, the attack does 100% damage; but the Hyper Beam alone does 60, Frustration does 10 and Earthquake does 20.

Custom Specials:
Neutral B:
1. (Roar): Does less damage than Hyper Voice, but has more knockback to it. Can be used to edgeguard if needed.
2. (Swagger): Does more damage than Hyper Voice, but has very little knockback to it.
3. (Dark Pulse): Has extreme knockback, but poor damage and is limited in range.

Up B:
1. (Giga Impact): Does heavy damage and knockback, but has less range than Aerial Ace. The first 5 frames have superarmor, while the rest of the move has heavy armor.
2. (Dig): Has more range than either Giga Impact or Aerial Ace, but does little damage in the air. Can also be acted out of into other moves.
3. (Bulldoze): Has extreme power and knockback, but is bad for recovery.

Side B:
1. (Thunder Fang): Has less base damage, but higher knockback and causes stun on hit.
2. (Ice Fang): Has less knockback and base damage, but causes opponents to freeze, as if they'd been hit by a Freezie.
3. (Poison Fang): Has the lowest base damage of all of the custom Side B's, but inflicts an effect similar to Lip's Stick on opponents (minus the flower, of course!)

Down B:
1. (Dragon Tail): Does more damage than Iron Tail, but has less knockback and is slightly slower.
2. (Tail Whip): Does high knockback, but no damage. Fastest to excecute, but least damaging.
3. (Superpower): Does huge damage and high knockback, but using it causes you to damage yourself as long as you use the move.

Home Stage:
Glittering Cave (Pokemon X/Y)

(How the stage would be themed)

(The stage's layout; the red border indicates the blast zones)
Glittering Cave is very much a stage for heavy-hitting characters, especially since three of the four blast zones are rather close to the stage itself, meaning that it's somewhat easier to KO swifter foes. It's Omega Forme removes all of the platforms except for the bottommost one, and moves it into the center of the stage, but in normal use the stage is fairly basic anyways.

Glittering Cave is basic, sort of like the vertical equivalent of Final Destination; it lacks any obstacles aside from the blast zones and the stage itself. Even with the close blast zones, the default stage is universally accessable, since every platform is connected to the base in some way. The walls work much like the floors from Brawl's Stage Builder; you can drop through them, jump through them or walk on them. The curve on the stage's base can also be used as a springboard to get another jump (if you haven't already used your Up-B, at least).

Overall, Glittering Cave is a vertically-oriented map that favours characters that are heavier and harder to push around to lighter, weaker characters; fitting, since it is the home stage of the heaviest, hardest to push fighter in Smash.

Taunts:
Up Taunt: Tyrantrum roars into the air.
Side Taunt: Tyrantrum stomps on the ground with high force. Does 8% damage.
Down Taunt: Tyrantrum's teeth glow and it snarls. The glow's colour depends on which Side B you use; it can be reddish-orange (Fire Fang), blueish-white (Ice Fang), a bright yellow (Thunder Fang) or a dark purple (Poison Fang).

Victory Animations:
1. Tyrantrum bursts from the ground with Dig and roars triumphantly.
2. Tyrantrum bites twice and roars.
3. Tyrantrum uses Iron Tail to spin around and roar, striking a familiar pose.
Victory Theme:
Defeat Animation: Tyrantrum looks annoyed and glares, unable to clap due to it's small arms.
Alternate Costumes:
Alt. 1 (Blue Team colours, shiny):

Alt. 2 (Red Team Colours, shiny Haxorus*):

Alt. 3 (Green Team Colours, Shiny Aggron*):

Alt. 4 (Yellow Team Colours, Haxorus*):

Alt. 5 (Aggron*)

*note that this only refers to colour scheme, not a situation like Wario's or Bowser Junior's.

Tyrantrum's defeat/clapping animation should be this for comedic purposes.

Bumping because updated thread. :p

I'm still supporting Tyrantrum as DLC; in fact, I just put in a vote for him on the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. So hopefully the Despot can gain more subjects now that DLC is a possibility!
