Also, is rainbow fd a certain file, or is it part of the start.dol file? Just wondering so I can put it into a normal melee copy.
It's not a file, it's a code. Basically every frame of the game it adds one to a red, green, or blue value that correlates to the color of the FD stage. I'll give a more in depth explanation when I get time. But I also want to change the code...the color changing works perfectly, but I want a different injection point that TRULY gets executed once per frame. The injection point for the code that is currently used actually gets executed more than once per frame, and is dependent upon how many characters are in the match.

So play a match on FD with 4 chars and you'll see it changes color at around twice the rate of during a 1v1.

Found an inherent issue with dual 1v1 mode, if it hasn't been reported already. When the first guy loses his stocks and gets eliminated, he can still steal his teammate's lives and come back.

Hi i'm having some trouble i tried to play some melee netplay with random persons my problem now is that everytime i open the non 20xx version of the iso and try to play online i will desync because 20xx is partially loaded even in a iso which i haven't touched with all the 20xx stuff
it will give me a bugged debug menu
is there a way to fix this so i can play without 20xx again?
and i'm unable to delete my 20xx iso in general it tells me it's opened in the system even when the emulator is closed

Game will randomly freeze when I approach the bottom blastzones (become magnified) on Battlefield, Stadium, and Dreamland. This has happened with Falcon and Samus. Using the newest 2.07 btw.

@ Achilles1515 Achilles1515 Ok my last bug wasn't a real bug I guess, my bad. but i did find a real one this time.

If you're holding any direction while choosing or exiting an event, the game will think you're constantly holding that direction after the event (completion or fail). You have to back out to the main title screen to fix the issue.

You can bypass this by making sure you're not touching the thumb stick when you choose or complete an event...but still.

@ Achilles1515 Achilles1515 , I would like you to add these species' textures as the alternative textures for species's red, blue, and green.
http://smashboards.com/threads/upda...ure-hacks-thread.279755/page-22#post-17035065

And, if possible, I would like to add "Yellow Fox" and "Yellow Falco" textures for alternative texture of species default color.
(I think default color Fox has been available for alternative textures, but falco hasn't alternative textures yet.)

To replace "Brawl Golden Fox" with other textures, what should the file be replaced?

On the the original 2.07 my game would crash in timed matches after a couple minutes. This bug fix fixed the crashing for me.
That's what I like to hear.

TyRoyR.dat is now the Golden Brawl Fox. You can replace it with any texture you want, BUT that new texture must be able to work overtop of the PlFxNr.dat file.

So it has to be a normal fox texture.

No problem, I know how to change PlFxNr.dat to other texture files (PlFxGr, and so on).

I hope you'll add Alternate Costumes for all colors of space animals :)

Then, what is the file name of Marth's Alternate costume?

Seriously? Please share how you do that. I'm very interested.
Just open the dat file up in the Melee Toolkit and extract out all the textures for a specific costume. Then use those to replace the ones on another costume color.

Marth - PlMsNr.dat --> TyLink.dat
Falcon - PlCaBu.dat --> TySeak.dat

whoa I just found a slightly different way to do Endless Friendlies. I wonder if it would fix the black screen bug?!

Interesting...but I don't have a console to test with right now, unfortunately.

Yea I guess that autocancel isn't that big a deal, what about IASA frames though @_@ that way you can see your character change color when you're able to cancel the attack early into something. Every character typically has some IASA frames but it's difficult to see just how frame perfect you're doing it until you mastered the timing for it and just know that it can't be pressed any sooner. This would help learn the precise timing.

this was my dream all along when I brought up the melee crazy mod. Im guessing the crazy mod uses the same stack overflow name entry glitch thing as you're using? Also, what are the limitations on space for codes using this method?
Yeah wparam did some crazy **** with that mod. IE and I have been reverse engineering his code and figured out that stack overflow exploit he used. We're planning on piggybacking off of some of his code and adding in some tweaks.

what we're thinking at the moment is that we'll be able to load as many smash memory card files as we want, that we just stuff with code that will be copied to other unused parts of the RAM. So the only limitation would be the size of the memory card. We still need to look into this though.

This way can't be used between textures which has different attachment to characters.
For example, Jigglypuff's textures.

Sorry, the explanation of that is a little long, and I have a document to do that but that is Japanese.
It's very hard for me to explain this in English.

Below images will be big hints for this.
[COLLAPSE="Between NOT Pl**Nr.dat files (ex. PlFxGr.dat -> PlFxLa.dat)"]

[/COLLAPSE]
[COLLAPSE="Between NOT Pl**Nr.dat <->Pl**Nr.dat"]
Between NOT Pl**Nr.dat <-> Pl**Nr.dat is a little more complex.
many pictures is needed and I have to explain in long sentences.
So I can give you only hints.

ex.PlFxLa.dat -> PlFxNr.dat
PlyFox5KLa_Share~ → PlyFox5K_Share
After this. "compare" binary between 2 files.

All I can explain is this.
[/COLLAPSE]
Achilles, sorry for explain this in this thread.

Hello !
I hope i'm nnot the 15th ****** to ask the same question, but is it possible to get the "Flash red on missed l cancel" as a separate action replay code?
I often play netplay, so i have to use the original 1.2 iso with dolphin, but i find the flash red on missed l cancel more clear than the "flash on sucessfull" already available

And thanks again for that awesome training pack !

So is there a way to revert all the things that 20xx does? My standard 1.02 now has a buggy debug mode instead of it's usual tournament melee which lets me desync if i play with others

If you're using dolphin you have to put your netplay iso and the 20xx in different folder so the two d'ont get mixed up(at leat i have to, i didn't find how to separate them, and i have two melee game on my list if i let them in the same folder)

i did that i deleted my 20xx overall and still if i load up the 1.02 non 20xx one it still has the bugged tournament mode / debug menu

there is no tab for the hitstun / missed l cancle option and well the debug menu shouldn't pop up in the first place on my clean 1.02 iso

Make sure you don't have Debug Mode enabled as an Action Replay code. One ISO can not affect the other, unless you are using a save file and both are in Dolphin as the same game. (They aren't)

small and easy addition suggestion: can you make it so all the event matches are unlocked by default? Playing them with the C stick would be cool.

That's just the regular debug menu.

1) make sure you don't have the debug menu cheat enabled
2) if thats not the case, then the DOL file has been modified. You can download an original 1.02 DOL in the first post of the DOL mod topic in this forum

Since you claim you haven't touched the ISO, and if it was a true vanilla to start with, then it's probably just a code you have selected.

By the way, the "Global Melee Netplay Settings" code includes the debug menu instead of tournament mode.

It's the same result i replaced the 1.02 dol with the original dol
since i've done that with the 20xx files my other iso suddenly gave me a debug menu instead of the tournament mode
and i'm still desyncing if i'm not using the 20xx iso
prolly need to redownload the iso then hope this will fix it

edit: it fixed itself out once my friend deleted his 20xx out of his iso list for some reason it kept partially loading it apparently even tho under the start up it clearly stated it was the 1.02 instead of the 20xx one

@ Achilles1515 Achilles1515 , I felt 2.07 CPU's tech on the spot is more frequent than 2.06.

Finally have you found how to adjust the frequency of CPU's tech on the spot ?
If so, please tell me the address in Start.dol.

I have not made modified the code to adjust the frequency of CPU tech in spot. I probably will once i redo the code.

You can trying modifying the "random" address to see how it affects teching.

0xe40 in DOL.

Current value is a2945f92
You can try changing it to a2945f90 (the original value) or a2945f91 (haven't tested this one yet).
But don't try any others because that will put you out of bounds for the random function.
