Smashsanity Week 1! That's all, folks!

Me and Themandme have created a new weekly tournament series: Smashsanity! Each week a completely new, insane ruleset comes into play! Week 1's tournament begins on October 12th, 1:30PM EDT, but we are out of slots. Here are the rulesets for the upcoming matches.

Week 1: Up B only
Week 2: 1 Stock, Villager only, Down B only
Week 3: Bombs and Bananas only, set to high
Week 4: Pitfall Seeds only, set to high
Week 5: Counter and Jabs only
Week 6: Fox, Side Smash only, no items, final destination

IMPORTANT: THE FIGHTER YOU CHOOSE ON YOUR FIRST TOURNAMENT WILL STICK WITH YOU FOR ALL OTHER EVENTS EXCEPT FOR CHARACTER-SPECIFIC ONES.
If you have any more ideas, be sure to let me and Themandme know!

I have an idea!
What if you made it so that you pick a character at the beginning, and had to stick to it for every tournament you join, other than the ones that require specific characters? That would certainly make things interesting.

Yep, trying Mac in all events like this is bound to make me better, and forces me to work on the parts of my game in which I'm weak, which will only serve to make me more versatile. I don't mind losing in events like this if it makes me better overall.

I signed up, I'd like Palutena please.

Does "Up B" only mean we can only use that for our attacks or is that the only special we can use, but smashes, tilts, etc. are still allowed?

I like this. This is a great idea! I will probably not participate in the first few weeks because of my own tournament I am hosting. :) however, in the next few weeks, I sure will join!
BTW, what about characters who cannot attack with up B?

For characters who do not deal damage with up b, then they will just have to find an alternative way of winning. One of the key points of Smashsanity is to choose a character and adapt as well as you can to the ruleset at play. It's kinda like training, but not at all.

Well, we would have to look at the bigger picture. For example, did the contestant purposefully attack using a move other than up b? Basically, as long as it has gives no benefits/disadvantages/damage to any player, yes, you can use a move other than up b.

Never tried anything like this before. Seems pretty fun. I'd like to sign up for Ike, but if no repeats are allowed then I'll take Fox.
