Thanks so much to all who submitted predictions. There were a lot of repeats, and also a lot of predictions that were very very specific. I tried to avoid being so specific, so I've modified a lot of predictions to hopefully be more balanced as far as risk is concerned.

Phase 2 is now commencing. The details are below. You can view the complete list of predictions from the Card Builder!

selected directly via their number, but the predictions tied to some numbers (usually ones that are more general or more likely) will remain a mystery until Phase 3. It'll take a bit of strategy to balance the risk of using a mystery number from a category of more likely predictions or using visible predictions that might not come true.

You'll be allowed to make changes to your card until June 10th, when they will be copied into the post below to prohibit further changes.

• Something goes really horribly wrong at Invitational. Like, Nintendo rigged brackets, or changed rules at the last minute.
• Sakurai actually visits Invitational (not necessarily doing anything there).
  
• Many fan votes happen, because ties.
• Somebody suicides deliberately, claiming that this should count as a kill.
• Alternatively, an argument starts between multiple players and staff regarding the rules. (i.e. a sacrificial KO)
• A glitch gets found out on the livestream. Players love it.

Stages

• There are no 3DS throwback stages other than Melee ones, and no Wii U throwback stages other than Brawl ones shown.
• There is now possibility of editing normal stages to some level on at least one of the versions.
• There is something similar to the old Stage Builder on at least one of the versions.

25 is the bare minimum, but it'd be much nicer to have at least 35 (preferably even more), because that would allow for more variety among players' bingo cards.

Since I'll be dividing the predictions into categories, players could possibly try to bank on which categories have more feasible predictions. I'd like there to be a layer of strategy involved, if possible, even if the game is largely like a lottery.

That being said, people have sent a lot of predictions so far, so I'm not worried about not having enough. I'm more worried about having to be super selective about which predictions I use. =P But don't hold back with the predictions. The more I have to work with, the better.

Here are my predictions:

1. Ridley is shown as a stage boss and confirmed to be nonplayable, thus killing the debate once and for all.
2. All-Star mode is revealed for the Wii U version.
3. The final match of the Invitational has a Little Mac player.
4. Between 3 and 5 characters are announced.
5. 3DS version is given a July release date.
6. At some point in the Invitational, the A CHALLENGER APPROACHES screen shows up and someone fights them.
7. Palutena is shown in the game in some capacity.
8. That Chorus Men rumor is proven false in some way.
9. NFC figurines are shown in some way related to SSB4.
10. Pac-Man is not shown in any capacity.

Well, Iwata won't be attending E3 so he probably can't say "Please Understand," unless he appears via video.

The boards will crash is pretty much given. That will happen. As will the inevitable rant posts about the invitational and character choices. Those seem so likely that they are pretty much free spots, in my opinion. (I also think that a lot of these are too generic, "existing franchise newcomer" and "new franchise newcomer" will both almost assuredly happen. They are pretty much free spots too.) That's just my opinion; this your game after all. I think being slightly more specific would make the game more challenging.

That's why I'm going with a more lottery approach, where for certain categories, you don't actually know what prediction you're picking when you select a number. It's adding an element of risk where it would otherwise be obvious.

Smashboard shenanigans and Characters are categories where the predictions behind each number will be a mystery.

If that doesn't make sense, it will once I post to the card generator page, which I'll be posting shortly.
