Art of Sheik

Hello friends, back in the Brawl days I made an Art of Link video, a advanced guide on Link.

Here is Art of Sheik, a Smash 4 Sheik guide made by me. For all of you Sheik mains and non-Sheik mains that might want to pick Sheik up. It would be a really nice thing if someone could Pin this thread for the sake of the content. Enjoy.

Great stuff. I love seeing things done rather than described. Makes me wish you did extend this for all the stuff mentioned in the compendium *greed*

Cheers!

Oh wow so side B pretty much explodes against the majority of range attacks? Even for ones that it shouldn't like Fox laser?

That sort of transforms my outlook on the move. Which was a character specific gimmick to now dependable but very rough to use.

edit: Also really interesting note at the end. Up till now we more or less consider the 'chain grab' dead but now your claiming it is in fact really possible. A very bold statement and I love it.

edit2: After giving it some more thought I wish you mention how useful Sheik Bouncing fish wall...bounce is in helping her cover options in edge guarding. I would of also liked it if you covered how to scale a wall with sheik but now I'm just being bias.

edit3: Very late edit but I just notice in the video you show the 'chain grab' happening in training mode. You said Diddy was constantly jumping but was a actual player inputting the commands or did you just set the computer to jump? If you just set the computer then your demonstration is flawed as the computer will not jump as soon as possible.

This should probably be in the Sheik character thread. :3

How would you go about dropping the grenade on purpose? I think its combo potential would possibly be a great tool to Sheik's game.

Regarding grenade vs Gordo, if the grenade hits the Gordo first it does 1% and lacks the power to reflect it (reflect threshold is 2%). If Gordo hits the grenade, the grenade pops off the wire and hits the Gordo for 4%, reflecting it. Not entirely sure if this is something that can actively be controlled, but that's why it behaves the way it does.

I highly doubt it as we are dealing with two projectiles with hurt and hit boxes and worst yet one of them is spinning.

Gordo's hitbox shrinks after 30f, 60f, and 90f. It could be as simple as "hit it before x frames and the grenade will reflect it," honestly.

This is really gorgeous stuff. At this point I've researched the technology of sheik so thoroughly I was surprised to see so much stuff I hadn't thought of. I didn't know you could chain to 60%; how cool is that, ppivot to shield is a great spacing trick that makes a lot of sense (I hadn't thought of adding the shield), and I loved the trick of ledge stealing and then guarding with vanish since their invincibility doesn't refresh--it gives a use for the runoff ledge grab. I love this guide!

Is there any way to drop the grenade making it become an item on purpose? This has so much potential if it can be done on purpose.

Well, If you see a projectile flying at you, just side B, you might drop the bomb right infront of you, and it might be easier to approach characters like Link/TL etc.

It helps when you're merging posts with currently existing threads if you actually bother to check to see if said information is already in the older thread. Case in point we have an example that makes the TC look like they have memory problems wherein he appears to screw up by posting the exact same link a second time despite opening the thread with it.

I just find it funny is all. The fourth post in this thread should not exist at all. It's blatantly obvious it was copied from another thread he made in a different section with zero thought behind the move itself.

After I pointed it out, it was fixed. That's nice I suppose.
