This was something that was brought up in the Roster Discussion thread and I thought this would be a really good topic to get a larger audience involved with.
So, some of us have been talking for or against the idea that instead of releasing the two games simultaneously, one is released first and the second comes at some later time. What would happen in this scenario is that the Wii U version would come out first with the 3DS one at some later time. One thing I figured they could do with this is to make the 3DS version an updated version of the Wii U version with new characters that couldn't be added in time for the Wii U version - got to meet those deadlines after all. Meanwhile, a physical release of the update could be available on the WiiU online with a DLC option to either unlock the DLC with a bought key or to use the 3DS version to unlock the new characters.
What do you of separate releases?
