It's a curiosity, sure, but is there any way us plebs can open the vaults of the mighty backroomers and have DL links or mirrors to archived versions of P:M?

It wouldn't work for a lot of reasons until the final build was released, and by then there'd be no point in releasing them.

"Work" how? In my opinion, it would be good for those with a curiosity about how the mod is put together itself, and for those wishing to incorporate parts of the mod into things such as Brawl+ or their own mods. IMO most importantly it would be good for discussing issues that weren't given enough time to be fully explored, I.E. what was truly most problematic about Ike's 2.1 kit rather than the extremely varied and potentially slightly off-point assortment of nerfs he was given, and then viewing the toxicity of his tools and his actual power levels in light of some of the other characters such as fox, to cite an extremely specific example. Run-on sentences, woo.

For playing them on their own, yeah, there's no real reason I suppose, so it wouldn't "work" in that sense, but... maybe I'm the only one with the curiosity, being as I've only played 2.5b and wanted to see their thought process with the characters as time went on.
