Posters Used Foresight! The SSB4 Character Predictions & Leaderboard

Assuming this thread actually gets used, the OP will be made neater as time goes on. I kind of just want to get it started for now.

Many of us have made predictions and are still making predictions about what characters will be in SSB4. Some of these predictions hardly show any foresight, such as "Mario will be in the game" or "Dr. Seuss will not be in the game," but some of these predictions are actually worth paying attention to.

I'd like to start up a tally of how well SWF members made predictions about smash 4 characters, so that we can end up seeing who got the most.

Loophole was already addressed in the original post.

What I will not add to the tally:
"Ridley will be in the game in some way, shape, or form."
"Yoshi will come back."

This is about predictions that are actual predictions, with at least mild risk.

Alright I'll bite and I'll go for things I don't neccesarily want, but think will probably happen:

Mario related predictions:

• Paper Mario will be an Assist Trophy.
• Doc will return as the 5th Mario rep and in doing so will simultaneously annoy Toad, Bowser Jr, Waluigi and Geno fans no end. Including myself.
• Peach's moveset changes will include things from Super Princess Peach. Specifically Anger vibe.
• We will finally get a Bowser Castle stage.

Wario related prediction:

• Wario gets announced on the day Mario Kart Wii U arrives

Pokemon related predictions:

• Popular Pokemon who haven't been playable in Smash Bros before like Blaziken and Meowth will be Pokeball Pokemon.

Donkey Kong related predictions:

• Dixie Kong will be playable.

Fire Emblem related predictions:

• We have four Fire Emblem characters.
• They are Marth, Ike, Roy and Chrom. Anyone hoping for variety will get super disappointed.
• Robin/Tactician is the Fire Emblem Assist Trophy

Alright I'll bite and I'll go for things I don't neccesarily want, but think will probably happen:

Mario related predictions:

• Paper Mario will be an Assist Trophy.

None of those are worth anything by my point system. There's basically no risk.
I even wrote in the original post that "Yoshi will come back" and "Ridley will appear in some way" are not counted, due to lack of risk.

What is or isn't a [good enough] prediction?

How it works:-You make predictions, I write them down, you earn or lose points based on how they turn out.-Points are listed in a leaderboard, and will be add up as time goes on, until we know everything about characters in Brawl.


Rules:
-All SWF rules apply
-You can back out of a prediction you've made as long as nothing notable has changed it's likeliness since you made the prediction.
-It must be at least somewhat risky.
-Predictions you made prior to an announcement can count, if you have proof that you made the prediction
-You are free to edit posts, but if your prediction is not locked in before a major change, and I see your post has been edited since the major change, I will not count it, to prevent cheating.
--I recommend you just make new posts, rather than edit old ones.
-Correct predictions make you gain a point. Incorrect predictions make you lose a point.
-"Bold" predictions are worth double the points. +2 or -2
-I reserve the right to make rules as inconsistent as I want, for the purpose of promoting risk in the game.
-Please list your predictions neatly, and make it clear that they are predictions.
-Try to clearly define predictions. A prediction for "All previous veterans will return, except Pichu" will be an individual prediction for each character.


Exceptions:
Veteran's handicap: Veterans are inherently harder to cut than to keep.
Competition: Character's with (real) competition in their franchise (or Capcom characters) are consider harder to guess.
Close enough: I reserve the right to grant points if I feel a prediction was "close enough."
Pokemon trainer: Except for Pokemon veterans, all existing Pokemon listed as a PkMn trainer pokemon are worth +1 or -1 points.
-Charizard: Him being cut is worth +1 or -1, him returning is not.
-Ivysaur/Squirtle: Worth normal points.


Newcomer will be a playable character:
Pretty straightforward. It's a new character. This includes characters cut from Melee, and new Pokemon on Pokemon trainer.
-Characters not in the top 30 newcomers on Rate Their Chances will be considered "bold" and worth double points.
--For cut veterans, Roy and Mewtwo are not "bold."


Popular newcomer will not be playable:
Only applies to characters with 70% or more chance & want on Rate Their Chances (unless an exception exists)
-Currently only applies to Mewtwo, Ridley, Little Mac, and Palutena (King K. Rool has Competition)


Potential character will be an Assist Trophy:
-Only characters in the top 50 on Rate Their Chances are included. Anything lower than that is not considered a "potential character."


Veteran from Brawl will not come back:
Very simple.
-Veterans that were not voted on in Rate Their Chances, with the exception of the top 3, will be considered "bold" and worth double points.


Highly possible cut veteran will not be cut:
Characters that are widely speculated as cuts.
-Only applies to characters with less than 70% on Rate Their Chances.
--Currently only applies to Toon Link and Snake


Veteran will have *this* significant change in moveset:
This has to be an actual prediction. Examples:
-Luigi will use his vacuum for his (insert a predicted attack]
-Donkey Kong will no longer be able to spam his down special.

Someone has to take the risk, I actually want it to happen. There is some circumstantial evidence to support my staggeringly offensive claim!
1. Sakurai has not yet unveiled our green dinosaur, this is peculiar because he is usually associated as one of the first characters.
2. Nintendo is really pushing cross-promotion. Yarn Yoshi would sell a lot better if they decided to cast Yarn Yoshi as the aesthetic design of Yoshi.
3. The difference isn't significant like Yarn Kirby, it is more of a texture swap.
4. This is the first home console Yoshi game since Yoshi's Island. Now this might not mean a lot until you consider that Sakurai purposely segregates Yoshi from Mario by emphasizing that Yoshi maintains his own franchise. Why wouldn't a huge entry into the franchise warrant an update?
5. This is a unique and fresh direction, the chance to have a final smash that better correlates with Yoshi's character. The chance for more material. Yoshi is a boring character, it isn't Yoshi's fault, he doesn't have a lot to work with. This might enhance his potential as a character.

Those are just some basic reasons. I don't necessarily think it will happen, I would love it to actualize though.
