Super Smash Bros. for 3ds( Smash 4 3ds) release is growing nearer everyday. I want to celebrate the release of a new smash game the right way by holding an exclusive Smash 4 3DS and enjoying the game in competition after everyone has had their hands on the game for a bit.
This tournament will be very experimental, and will help determine how Smash 4 3DS events will be ran in the future. It should be expected that some information will change as people start to get there hands on the game.
I encourage anyone near the Georgia region to attend, and have some great fun. Spread the word. Hope to see you there.

If fewer than 50 entrants:
1st place: 55%
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 15%
If between 50-100 entrants:
1st place: 50%
2nd place: 25%
3rd place: 15%
4th place: 10%
If more than 100 entrants:
1st place: 45%
2nd place: 20%
3rd place: 15%
4th place: 10%
5th place: 5% each

Set Procedure Rules
Neutral Stages:
· Battlefield
· Final Destination
· Yoshi Island
Counter Pick:
· Omega Stages
Stage striking
· Before the first set, each player gets 1 ban. If players cannot agree on who chooses first. The first mover may be determined in a game of Rock- Paper-Scissors.
· Winner does not get to strike a stage
· No DSR: Winners may go back to a stage they previously won on.
After each match:
1. Loser chooses counter pick stage
2. Winner chooses their character
3. Loser chooses their character
4.* In the event of a tie (same percent same stock) a 1 stock 3 minutes game should be played to determine the winner.
Other Rules
· All matches will be played at 2 stocks 6 Minutes. Best 3/5 (Including all Finals)
· Custom Moves are legal and will be treated the same as counter-picking a character. Other equipment and items should be disabled.
· Mii's are BANNED
· No modded 3DS's or 2DS's allowed, other than for streaming purposes.
· If lag creates a dispute between players during a match judgment will be at liberty of the T.O or a person the T.O appoints.
Doubles- Specific Rules:
· All matches will be played at 3 stocks 8 Minutes. Best 2/3 (Including all Finals)
· Life stealing is allowed
· Friendly Fire is turned ON
Additional Rules:
· Player’s Choice Clause: You may play by a rule outside of this rule-set if your opponent agrees to it as long as it does not deliberately delay the tournament process. In the event of a disagreement, house rules stand.
· Double Blind Character Picks: Players may elect to double blind pick their characters for the first match in case of any disputes.
General Rules
-This event is BYO3DS
-The act of stalling is banned: stalling is intentionally making the game unplayable: Such as becoming invisible, continuing infinites, chain grabs, or uninterrupted moves past 300%, and reaching a position that your opponent can never reach you.
-Any coaching that happens during the match (but not in between matches) is restricted. Players who violate this rule will receive a warning (BOTH the player AND the person coaching the player) on the first attempt. Players who violate this rule after a warning will be disqualified from the event and a possible ejection from the venue.
-You are responsible for your own 3DS. Any malfunctions or errors that occur are your responsibility. Please be sure to bring a charger. In the event that a 3DS runs out of charge during a set the persons who 3DS lose charge will be given a loss.
- Please be respectful of all participants. We want to make everyone feel welcome to the smash community!
- Other information -
Pre-registration will be used for location seeding purposes. We don't want anyone playing their best friends round one of the tournament.
