Well, I've decided to host a tournament for the first time in a long while, right here in Gainesville.
I've spoken with the people at the Kanapaha Church and they seem more than willing to accommodate us.
Alright, let's get to it.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
11:00 AM REGISTRATION
We will be taking registration for any of the events at the door. For the sake of time make sure you enter all events you are doing before Noon.
12:30 PM SMASH 3DS SINGLES BEGINS,
MELEE FRIENDLIES, PM FRIENDLIES
The 3DS tournament will be a large double elimination bracket. Please BRING YOUR OWN 3DS. Rules for the event will be posted below.
Because the 3DS tournament does not require TVs, the PM Singles event will start shortly after and run along with it.
1:30 PM = PM SINGLES BEGINS, MELEE DOUBLES BEGINS (IF ENOUGH SETUPS ARE AVAILABLE)
Depending on the number of entrants and setups we have, this tournament will be either a large bracket or bracket pools.
4:00 = MELEE SINGLES BEGINS
Once again, either a large bracket or bracket pools.
NOTE: Eat lunch on your own time. You're allowed to go out and eat food. HOWEVER if you are not present for a match when it is called, you will be disqualified into the losers bracket after 5 minutes, no questions asked.

2 Stock, 5 Minute Matches
Neutrals = FD, Battlefield, Yoshi's Island
CP = Arena Ferrox, Tower Prism
Custom Moves are BANNED
Unless entries exceed 100 people for an event, all sets will be Bo3 and only Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals will be Bo5 sets.
ENTRY FEE
All events and door fee are CASH ONLY.
There will be a $5 door fee for all people entering events.
Each event is $10 to enter.
Entering all three events is $30.
RAFFLE
If you bring either a TV or a Wii/Gamecube with a copy of the game, you will be entered into a raffle to win Gift Cards for Amazon or the event's sponsor, R-U-Game.
PRIZES
1st = 50% of pot size for that event
2nd = 25%
3rd = 15%
4th = 10%
And as always PLEASE BRING SETUPS. The tournament will finish smoothly and on time provided that players bring any CRT (non flat-screen) televisions, GameCubes, Wiis or 3DSs that they have. As well as copies of the game.
