FINAL NOTES ON RULES
- If a match is ended with a suicide move, the player who initiated the move is declared the winner, regardless of the in game outcome.
- If the round is timed out, the player with the most stocks wins. If both player are equal in stocks, the player with the lower percent wins. In the case that stock and percent is equal a tiebreaker game will be played.
- Tiebreaker game procedure (for either game): 1 stock, 3 minutes, same stages and characters as the game that ended in a tie.
- Any player who initiates a glitch that freezes, crashes or otherwise interrupts gameplay will be subject to forfeiture of the game.
- Any player may request a colour change in the case that the player has colour blindness.
- No coaching during games, only between games.
- No in-person attempts to affect gameplay (obnoxious language, unplugging controllers, blocking player's vision, physically bothering players, etc)
- Any and all other conflicts are to be resolved by SCSC executives
DON'T HOLD UP THE TOURNAMENT
- LET SOMEBODY KNOW if you are leaving the venue when you have yet to be eliminated from an event. Even if you're just stepping out to make a phone call, go to the bathroom, get food, pick up a friend, even if you're forfeiting/leaving because of other obligations, let somebody know (preferably an executive of SCSC) so we know not to DQ people, or to DQ them right away.
- On that note, refrain from stepping out of the venue when you have a set to play unless you absolutely have to. It will help keep the tournament running smoothly.
- Bring your own controllers. We have markers and tape you can use to label your things if you'd like.
- Report any results from tournament sets ASAP.
- Disconnect/turn off any wireless controllers if you are no longer using them. We don't want to interfere with tournament play.
GENERAL CONDUCT
- Don't be rude or obnoxious. We're just here to hang out and enjoy some friendly competition, don't ruin it. This also means don't steal anything, don't bring any illegal substances (or alcohol) into the venue, etc.
- Proper hygiene please; don't smell. Shower, deodorant, clean clothing, brush your teeth, etc. I personally recommend this video.
- Please clean up any garbage you leave behind.
