Go down the elevator on your left or the stairs on your right, G3 is in the basement by the stairs.

Events/Entry Fees

Entry fees are as follows:

Venue Fee: 5$; waived if you bring a full setup or are a university student.
Need only be paid if you enter one or more of the following events.

Melee Singles: 10$ a person.
Project M Singles: 10$ a person.
Melee/PM Doubles: 5$ a person.

Schedule

Since we've had problems with timing in past RoMo's, we're running a strict schedule this time around. If you are
coming from out of town, plan accordingly. We will not wait for people this time around unless they are going to be
reasonably late (15 minutes MAX) AND they call us beforehand to let us know.

Noon: Signups/Friendlies
- you MUST be signed up for your respective events by the time they start. We have had problems in the past with
out of towners showing up late and holding up the tournament. I repeat, IF YOU ARE NOT HERE AND REGISTERED
BY THE TIME YOUR RESPECTIVE EVENTS START (unless you call beforehand, then you will be given a 15 minute
grace period) THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THOSE EVENTS!!!

1PM: Melee Doubles
2PM: Project M Doubles
3PM: Melee Singles Pools
4PM: Project M Singles Pools

Once you are finished with pools, you will be allowed to go get food.

6PM: Melee Singles Bracket
7PM: Project M Singles Bracket
12AM: Venue Closes

This is just a general guideline for bracket, specifically the singles bracket start time. We may run fast or slow
depending on different factors, but with three TO's it should go at a reasonable pace.

General Rules

Bring your own controller.

Be civil.

Download PM version 3.02!

All singles sets excluding winner's semis, winner's finals, losers finals and grand finals will be best two
out of three sets. The sets mentioned before will all be best three out of five.

General Rules:

Items are set to off.

Stock and Time are set to 4 stock and 8 minutes respectively.

All singles sets are best of five.
All doubles sets, save for finals are best of three.
Doubles winner's, loser's, and grand finals are best of five.

Either player may request that Pause is set to off.
This request cannot be denied.

Blind Picks: Either player may request that a double blind selection occur. In this situation, a 3rd party should be told, in secret, each player’s choice of character for the first round. Both players are to then select their first round character, with the 3rd party validating that the character selected is the same as their word.

Modified Dave's Stupid Rule: No player can counter pick a stage he or she has previously won on unless agreed upon by both players.

Gentleman's clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it. This rule takes priority over DSR.

Matches that time out will be determined by the remaining number of lives, then percentage of the current stock. In the event of a percentage tie, the match should be replayed in full. Sudden Death is not to be played, and will not count.

Wobbling is legal. Wobbling or performing any other infinite past 250%, however, is considered stalling, and is not legal. Dispose of your opponent before then.

Additional Rules for Teams Play:

Life Stealing is allowed

Set team attack to ON

If the game is paused accidentally while attempting to steal a life, the opposing team may deem that life forfeit. Wait until the announcer has finished saying defeated before pressing start, or turn pause off prior to beginning the match.

250% infinite limit is in effect for Doubles as well. Don't be a douchebag and infinite an opponent excessively in a 2v1 situation.

How to Play a Set:

Players select their characters.
Either player may elect to Double Blind.

Stage Striking: Players eliminate stages from the Starter Stage List until only 1 remains, and the players then play the first match on that stage.
Players strike stages in 1 2 2 1 order.
For example, striker one strikes 1 stage, striker two strikes 2 stages, then striker one strikes 1 more stage and the resulting stage that's left is played on.

The players play the first match of the set.
Winning player of the preceding match bans a stage/stages (if applicable).
The losing player of the preceding match picks a stage for the next match.
The winning player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
The losing player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
The next match is played.
Repeat 4-8 for all consecutive matches as necessary until the set is complete.

Project M Ruleset
[COLLAPSE=""]
* 4 stock, 8 minute timer.
* Items OFF and set to NONE
* Buffer OFF
* Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks, then by percentage.
* If the match goes to Sudden Death due to a suicide move (Ganon's side-B, DDD's swallow, holding someone in a grab on a platform as it moves out of the boundaries, etc.), the one who initiated the move wins.
* Non-first party controllers must be inspected by TO staff before use in tourney.
* Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in forfeiture of the match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.
* Dave's Modified Rule: You cannot counterpick the stage you last won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
* Player's Choice Clause: You may play by a rule outside of this ruleset if your opponent agrees to it as long as it does not deliberately delay the tournament process. In the event of a disagreement, house rules stand.
* Double Blind Character Picks: Players may elect to double blind pick their characters for the first match in case of any disputes.

Housing

If you and your crew need housing, I can host two (maybe three if they're small) to sleep on my couch and a
few more if they don't mind the floor. Message me on Smashboards so I know who and what to expect.
If there are multiple groups, I recommend bringing sleeping bags or air mattresses, as the floor is kind of uncomfortable.

Miscellaneous

If you need a TO for any reason, call me at (636) 226-6462 and I'll attempt to work out your issue. There may be
a streaming setup this time around (unconfirmed), so if it happens and you want to commentate that's fine, just
don't be unprofessional (no constant screaming, nothing offensive, try to be informative with commentary). We
will have three TO's at this event, so everything should go smoothly. Remember, please show up on time, I want
to run this event smoothly and I'd rather not deny people the chance to play because they were too late.
