Katy Sm4sh League would like to announce its last seasonal championship for 2015! This will be the last seasonal before the Annual Championships happening early 2016.



Schedule

-12:00pm: Venue officially opens/friendlies/setup/registration for all events opens
-2:00pm: Doubles bracket begins
-4:00pm: Singles bracket begins
-10:00pm: Venue closes/clean up

Rule Set

BYOC (Bring Your Own Controller)

Double Elimination
3 Stocks
8 Minute Time Limit
Items set to "Off" and "None"
Equipment is banned
Custom moves are banned
Miis must have a "1111" move set and a "medium" weight
Pause set to "Off"
Team attack set to "On" (Doubles only)
Sheik and Game & Watch are banned on the same team for the 2 v 2 event

Neutrals:

- BattleField/Miiverse
- Smashville
- Town and City
- Lylat
- Final Destination

Counterpicks:

- Duck hunt
- Halberd
- Delfino Plaza
- Castle Siege
- Dreamland 64
- Any omega stage (banning this also bans FD)

Stage Striking Order:
1-2-pick for starters and TWO bans for the winner after that for every game

Entry Fees and Payouts

Venue Fee : $10 (Fee will be waived if you bring a complete set up which consists of a monitor, Wii U, Smash4 Disc, and GameCube Adapter). Venue waives will be given on a first come basis the day of the event and will stop after 10 waives. Any additional setups are greatly appreciated though, but unfortunately we can't go over 10 waives. Laggy monitors will unfortunately not go toward the venue waive.

Singles Bracket
- $10 entry (100% into pot)
- Below 40 attendees, Top 3 Split, 60%-30%-10%
- Above 40 attendees, Top 4 Split, 55%-25%-15%-5%

Doubles Bracket
- $20 entry ($10 per person, 100% into pot)
- Below 10 Teams, Top 2 Split, 75%-25%
- Above 10 Teams, Top 3 Split, 60%-30%-10%

Top 8 players after the end of the year earn the first 8 seeds in the championship bracket for the up to $1,000 pot bonus! The other placing seeds will be fought out in an open bracket for those who still want one last shot at the money. You can earn points by participating in KSL events. We have weeklies every Thursday at 16851 Bouldgreen, Houston, TX 77084 at 5pm. This event also provides KSL points as well; 5 times the amount from a weekly.

Sorry for getting back to you so late. There is no age restriction, anyone is welcome to come.

We've also changed singles to pools, so you all can enjoy more matches. Singles registration closes at 3:45.

Thought we'd talk about food for a second. Kevin is nice enough to buy pizza for us complimentary, but just so you all know, there's tons of food places around, being close to the Galleria whether you want to eat lunch or dinner near the venue. Here's a few within 3 miles:

If you do go out to eat during the tournament, be sure to let me or Kevin know otherwise we may need to DQ you to move the tournament along. Food is allowed in the venue, so feel free to pick some up on your way and eat it here as well.

The address given is "closest" we can give you to reaching the venue, but like many physical address, multiple buildings can share the same address. The address will lead you to Kiran's restaurant, but the venue is actually towards the back end of the same lot and called "Sonia's World of Dance", suite #150. It is right next to a gym.
