Doesn't really narrow it down considering there are at least 100+ Pokemon with that symbol in their name :ohwell:

Edit: Wait, what?!

Entei's Japanese name has that symbol in it!

What is this bias @Robotnik Claus???

Fun Question time.

If you could have one more rep from every 3rd party SERIES who would

A) You want?

B) You put in based on iconicness, relevancy, popularity.

Mega Man includes all his series, Final Fantasy includes all it's games. Can say none if you don't think it's applicable

A)
Sonic-Knuckles
Mega Man-Zero
Pac Man-None
Street Fighter-M Bison
Final Fantasy-Kain Highwind

B)
Sonic-Dr Eggman
Mega Man-Zero
Pac Man-Ms Pac Man (probably better as an alt though)
Street Fighter-Chun-Li
Final Fantasy-Either Black Mage or Sephiroth
Sonic - Metal Sonic! also knuckles. Metal Sonic could very well just be an alt
Mega Man - Bass (and Treble)
Pac-Man - Ms. Pac-Man (Alt)
Street Fighter - Chun Li (Although M. Bison would be good)
Final Fantasy - Squall (Or, Terra. Squall works better with Cloud already in)

The thing is with Japan, it's not their history that's worth being wary of. There's a lot in modern day Japan that's eyebrow raising. The treatment of people with disabilities, the infamously harsh working conditions and lack of gender equality to name a few things.

I'm not saying that if you're Japanese you shouldn't be proud of your country or that it's wrong to love Japan. The truth is, I wouldn't be nearly as bothered by a lot of the most questionable aspects of Japan if I didn't love it.

I know I'm overreacting, but I see a lot of people put Japan on a pedestal and treat it like it's some kind of promise land.
I agree that some people act as if Japan is perfect, but to be fair, some Americans act the same towards the US, though it too is pretty bad in some areas:
  • veterans are generally treated like **** when they're discharged (especially disabled ones) and a lot end up in minimum wage jobs and can barely feed their families (been that way for over a century).
  • Sexism towards both males and females, just in different areas
  • Current racial tension
  • gun violence
  • Crappy economy
  • Poor education system
It gets even worse when you consider what the US has done in the past...

Treating any country like it's perfect is problematic as it requires one to ignore or be ignorant of the plight of others. Patriotism to the point of ignorance is a terrible thing...

I really want to like that game, but apparently I don't like popular pokemon so the chance of their being any pokemon I care about is pretty low

For reference, here's a smaller list. It takes out already playable Pokemon, confirmed Assists, Not Fully Evolved Pokemon (barring Jigglypuff, since Smash makes her kind of standout in that regard), and unworkable body types (basically Fish 'Mon, Unown, and Cloyster, Electrode, and Dewgong). It...narrows it down a little further. :p

Swamp I was in the midst of editing it.

Forgot to take them out of the second draft since it's late and my brain read Sandslash twice, and Pigeotto as Pidgeot. :p

What do you guys think about Mynintendo's Xenoblade Chronicles X review?

Should 28 hours into a game of that scale be considered an "early impressions article" more than anything?

Thoughts?
28 hours is long enough to judge how good the game is, but not how good the story is.

Good jobs on the lists Golden and Oposum!

Looking at the list, unfortunately it looks like Greninja will sit this round out, but at least Salamence, Terrakion, Noivern, Luxray and Galvantula are still options for personal favorites. As for the list itself, I'll probably also play around with it using different criteria, I want to see what I can find out of this as it'll be fun to think about and see if I can correctly guess the newcomer.

The most feared moment for every RPG player.
becoming french?....dont worry man they have wonderful toast!
(this is actually a double joke as french toast was only called that around world war 2 where it was originally called German toast)

now when it comes to voices just dont pick the rookie(bryce papen brooke) as well i just explained with its voice actor

As much as I hate to admit it, I don't expect the Direct this week. It just 'feels' like there's too much going on this week, ya know? Triforce Heroes patch, XCX, Game Awards...

Next week however? Seems likely.
