I honestly can't believe there are peolle that would want to see characters like Cloud, Lara Croft and Crash but think Indie characters in Smash are underseving

True. I mean I wouldn't even put them as number 2 considering it's a young series.

My top 3 was easily Smash, Pokemon and Zelda. Metroid is really bad but that's due to Other M and how fans have a as bad victim complex as Megaman fans except they don't the excuse of inside corporate issues. And Fire Emblem is too small of a series to be considered bad, considering most of waifu crap and Smash memes are less than 45% of the fanbase

But I can vouch for Star Fox being wretched as any fanbase out there.

Also the whole "they'd be boring" thing is so dumb. Honestly, half the time it sounds like the people saying it are just ignorant toward the source material. Like, Arcadenik correctly guessed many of Duck Hunt's moves and specials, including the fourth wall cover fire, I myself thought Rosalina would use a Luma (albeit not as a puppeteer), Star Bits, Launch Stars, and Gravity (Down Special kinda counts there ), so I felt so pleased with that, and MANY Pac-Man fans thought he could draw from non-GA Pac-Man. It was mainly the people who didn't like/were ignorant toward the character that used the "boring" card.


Just from my experience anyway.

so this is off topic, but i'm feeling so hopeful that i feel like i have to share. i recently said that i was robbed by one of my roommates about a week and a half ago. well today the detectives found one of my items ( a 40in tv) at a pawn shop and it was pawned by own roommate! now they have the evidence they need to arrest him. whether they done so by now i dont know, but this means i will probably be able to retrieve my things hopefully soon and my former roommate in jail. i feel like i may get some justice after all. i really hope so! :D

Where he takes a step with every attack. Making him mobile at all times.

FE does have the "old FE vs Awakening" arguments that got pretty tiring to see, and now there's a third camp thanks Fates so there's that.

Street Fighter technically started on the TurboGrafx16, if you take console ports into account.

Either way SF has always been associated with arcades, just like Pac-Man.

If you ask me, I think it is exactly what people are saying, Rule 34/waifus. And sure, in the long run it doesn't mean much (and really most if not all of them are only for one character), but it does leave a bad impression for many. It's the same reason why furries tend to get a bad rep despite those kinds of people being a minority, albeit a vocal one.

For Megaman and Sonic, probably. PAc-Man and Ryu are video game equivalent of a giggalo. They've been on every platform, every console and their home is the arcade so they are probably neutral to all sides and factions

My thing with third parties are this:

• As long as you were an icon in the gaming world and have been MULTIPLE Nintendo consoles with your games then I'm welcomed you to Smash.

As long as you had some influence or a big time name in gaming then it isn't hard for that character to be in Smash.

Zelda fans do the same thing but it's not as bad as Star Fox which is the same similarities of the Sonic franchise. They'll blame everything on certain things and complain about how certain games aren't like this or that

Cloud - True, aside from Theatrhythm and Kingdom Hearts.
Lara - Not true at all. She had games on Nintendo platforms dating back to the Game Boy Color.
Crash - Him and Spyro were labeled by western fans as Sony's unofficial mascots only during the PS1 era. They've been multiplatform ever since, Crash having nine games on Nintendo platforms and Spyro having 14 (soon to be 15).

That's just his way of saying "I personally don't think he would be as "unique" compared to other choices, like Robin."

It's the same thing for Ridley's case, just a bit more technical. If the man can make Greninja work BEFORE he was even fully conceptualized fun, then if he really tried, he could have made Chrom work just fine.
