Guys, I dunno if someone here know about this, but... I was thinking:
When Activision acquired the IP Crash Bandicoot, they acquired everything, right? ... That means they probably own all the games before their acquisition too.
--Can Activision release the old Crash games in other platforms? Or the fact that these titles being published by Sony Computer Entertainment is an issue?
I know these titles are all available at PSN right now, but we don't know the agreement behind this, right?.. Naughty Dog probably doesn't even need to have a word in these re-releases, since Activision is now owner of the franchise, and they do what they want to..
It's confusing;.. but my guess is that the Activision and Sony have a deal to maintain these titles exclusive to PlayStation platforms just for some image relationships.. But since Sony wasn't the financier of these games back in the day, they don't have any debt to pay with exclusivity with the company (like Bayonetta 2 with Nintendo, and recently, Street Fighter V with Sony); at least, not anymore..
Can someone clear this for me? Is my supposition right?
