New 0 to Death AT with Captain Falcon

Let me first say, I do not know if I discovered this. I haven't seen any videos or threads about this anywhere. The only AT similar to this one is the 34 Combo (http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=267957). So if this has been discovered already, I'm sorry to whoever discovered it. I'm just trying to put it out there.


New 0 to Death AT with Captain Falcon

How it's done:

Grab near the edge -> Dthrow (twice if possible) -> Dair -> Footstool/Knee

Note: You must do this at a Low Percentage. Possibly 0-20 depending on falling speed and weight.

It will obviously be way harder to do on an actual match. The Dair will be pretty hard to do and the opponent will probably have jumped or attacked before you can do the Dair. Also, the opponent will probably DI out of it. But I'm pretty sure it's possible against offline/online opponents.

Sorry about only putting Falco and Fox on the video. Those were the first ones I discovered it with and I got lazy with the video. I just wanted get it done quick. But it's done in the same way with the rest of the characters mentioned above.

They can Air-Dodge even if you buffer the Dair; It's just too slow on start-up, IMO.

I'm patient enough to wait for a vid, though.

They could probably just jump after the Dthrow and escape it.

Lordy got skills.

I'd see this working on a player that doesn't go Defensive a lot, so the miss the dodge (Or have very sluggish Aerial options) and take the Dair. What options do we have after that? You know, if they get smart and dodge your moves.
I'm still finding Dthrow -> Uair more useful, though, lol :l
This is prob. a 1 time per match thing.

It's avoidable, not a bad setup though. Doing two dthrows will likely promote them to expect something and dodge if they weren't doing so already. Combo 34 is a bit more guaranteed if you can pull it off.

Not bad, though.

Combo 34 is more reliable yes.

You probably shouldn't call this a 0-Death because dthrow chains almost never happen.

He could probably replace the Dthrow chain with SideThrow. Works if the person doesn't expect it.

They can still shield it. :/

Is it even possible to buffer a SH-Dair? Let alone a SH? I always get a FH whenever i try.

this could happen i mean i've seen people get ganon punched too. it is in no way 100% but if you mindgame them into thinking you are going to chase with an uair they could air-dodge to the ground and you could get that second grab. but even after that the down air isn't 100% either

just a thought - Most people jump IMMEDIATELY after being thrown offstage by a grab


So would it be a good idea to dThrow/fThrow (offstage)->dAir->Knee/Footstool?
(this is only assuming you manage you grab them at 0-20%, though im not sure)
