i think ridley is some bird beast in the metroid prime series and meta ridley is ridley with metallic armor-i think he's a lot cooler.

This should be in the Ridley thread. And Meta Ridley is just Ridley with armor and weapons. He was only in one game, and doesn't deserve to represent Ridley and all the games he has appeared in. Ridley will be purple in Brawl and you would be lucky if Meta Ridley was even an alternate costume.

Meta Ridley has missiles, laser canons, photon canons, much more powerful claws (taking away multiple energy tanks in a single stroke) and his usual abilities. He'd be an interesting boss simply because he normally only has one weak point.

Meta-Ridley, Metroid: Zero Mission.

Meta-Ridley, Metroid Prime.

I could have sworn he appeared in either Fusion or Super, but I guess not. Either way, his appearance in Corruption would make the third appearance of Meta-Ridley if not the others. Thus Meta Ridley has become his ultimate final form consistantly. While Ridley will more like than not be a playable character, Meta-Ridley would make for a more interesting boss character.

That first one from Zero Mission is Mecha Ridley. Meta Ridley is Ridley with metal armor and weapons, Mecha Ridley is a fully robotic Ridley. Confusing, but still, they aren't the same thing.

Besides Meta-ridley is the huge ridley, i could see him as a boss. Or as an alt. costume for Ridley.

Edit:

It's not "his" final form, the prime games are a spin-off from the 2d Metroid Games that follow the actual storyline.

I doubt Meta-Ridley would appear in the 2d Metroid games.

Corruption is Omega Ridley (phazon mutated) not Meta Ridley. Meta Ridley is only in one Fing game.

IIRC Omega Ridley is the end game boss, he's still MEta-Ridley in the beggining.

No, because he is not wearing armor and the damage meter at the top of the screen simply says Ridley. In Prime, it said Meta Ridley, so obviously, it's not Meta Ridley.
