This Saturday 3/21/15 will be the start of Saturday Struggle Spring Season!
We’d like to introduce the Struggle Solider Card and our Struggle Skirmish Ranking System. S.S Card: The Struggle needs your help and we want to award our soldiers with swag from Arcademaid’s quickly diminishing coffers! No seriously we have amazing figures, JG Gift cards, apparel and more! How can YOU help us?
1. Ask for a Struggle Soldier card, you must be participating in one of the tournaments to be eligible for one.
2. Struggle Service will be during the period first or second shift of the Struggle (1pm~6pm 1st Struggle, 6pm~1:30am 2nd Struggle). Service duty includes the following: Report matches in your tournament, Report matches for others, inform us of match violations, Commentate, Food Runner, Announcing Assistant, and possibly in the future assisting running the tournament and stream. In addition to ensuring the Struggle moves smoothly we’d like to remind all our Struggle Soldiers that we are employees of JG Arcade and are responsible for the arcade cleanliness and safely of our patrons. Another way you can help us is be our eyes and ears. If you see a spill, tell us, if you see a lot of trash, tell us. If you see a game with an error, let us know! If you’d like to stay after hours and help with clean up, you can do that too! If you see someone doing something they shouldn’t be doing, come to us discreetly and let us know. Struggle Snitches are protected…and REWARDED!!!
3. For Struggle Service you receive a stamp for each participating shift. Stamps are given out after a shift is ended no sooner. Your service will be evaluated, in some cases (2) stamps can be rewarded to a Soldier. Don’t half ass it! Struggle Stamps are a privilege, not a right…
4. Prizes~ now we’re getting to the fun part! How can we redeem our S.S cards?
10 stamps: S.S Sticker Pack and one toy from Lil Mexico Jr.
15 stamps: A SE S.S t-shirt.
20 stamps:
Super Smash Bros: One random Amiibo.
Guilty Gear Xrd: A GG Daimakura.
USFIV: A Street Fighter 4 silk wall scroll.
3S: A Street Fighter Third Strike Arcade Marquee.
Redeeming your S.S cards is as easy as turning in your card and telling us what you want. If you don’t give us advanced notice for your redemption, you will receive you prize the following week. If you redeem 20 stamps your prize can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. 20 stamp prizes are eligible for all contestants, e.g., if a player wants a prize from a different game there would be no problem.
Spring 2015 Saturday Struggle Season ***NEW LINE-UP***
Saturday Struggle is an all day event now and has two different shifts. Each shift has a venue fee of $5. 1st shift is from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, 2nd shift is from 6:00pm to 1:30am. Two different wrist bands will be used for these shifts, please pay accordingly.

USFIV 6:00 to 10:00
GGXrd 10:00pm to 12:00pm

General Rules
First and foremost you must pay before you play! Entry fee is $10 ($5 venue $5 pot)*. Wristband system is in effect. You don't have one, you don't play. All games are Double Elimination, ⅔ rounds, ⅔ matches, Grand Finals 3/5 matches.
Prize structure is 60/30/10.
*Street Fighter III 3rd Strike is $5 pot, there is no venue because it is ran on cabinets. The venue is your quarter donations.
PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT.
ATTENTION PAD PLAYERS** Cronus devices are banned from tournament use. You must have a wired controller! If you do not, there are wires available for use, first come first served. You must leave a California State Issued ID, no exceptions. You are responsible for the wire and it will be checked and you'll receive your ID once the wire is determined functioning as normal. We encourage all pad players to bring their own wired controllers, please don't use us as a crutch every tournament...
In the event of a controller malfunction, the player has the option to report it, find a replacement within a reasonable time and takes a match loss for the first incident. Player forfeits the second match for a subsequent malfunction.
Players may not use any glitch or bug that prevents their game from being played, including but not limited to bugs causing the game to freeze or reset.
Programmable controllers and/or turbo functions are banned.
Wireless controllers are banned.**
Players who are not present when called for their match after 5 minutes, receive a full loss, and are disqualified after 10 minutes.
Pausing a game results in a match loss unless opposing player chooses to waive this penalty.
Registration for 1st shift is at 1:00pm 2nd Shift is at 6:00pm.
We are in need of a GC adapter for Wii U and Wii U consoles, first (3) patrons to let us borrow one for this tournament gets their venue fee waved and or a Struggle Stamp.
Super Smash Bros Wii U.
Matches are 1 on 1, stock of 2 set for 6 minutes
No items, No amiibo fighters
Due to time settings no Mii fighters, may feature them in future tournaments but not for this event.
Both opponents must agree on stage, or commit to using Omega version of stage.
Matches are 2/3 grand finals 3/5
In the event of a glitch, match will be restarted.
Character switch is allowed to the loser in a set.
Tournament begins at 1:30PM
Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN
Will take place on PS3.
Loser can change character, winner is character locked.
Tournament begins at 10:00PM
Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.
Played on head to head cabinets
Blind pick is optional
Winner must keep selected super art
Matches ending in judgment will be replayed.
Tournament begins at 10pm
Ultra Street Fighter 4
Will take place on the Xbox 360.
Winner must select the same character but can change Ultra BEFORE loser selects their character.
Tournament beings at 6:30pm.
