Because you didn't do **** with it. I knew what you were trying to do even if I think it's somewhat of a weird and obtuse way of reading someone but over the course of the game you did jack and **** to actually follow that read up, even if he didn't. You had a perfect opportunity to say "well I wanted to read you but you didn't do anything so I found a better use of my time" but you didn't take it. Instead you whined about them not placing their vote anywhere after poking at my slot, and then peaced out of the thread.

How does one gain reads from that situation regarding Ami when they literally did not vote at all during that phase? Who says I am not following up that read? Who says I got nothing out of it? No.

I don't like his play. I have absolutely no reason to like his play. It's not his inactivity, though that amplifies his case because there's not a lot to judge him on. That's his fault for not being here but is ultimately null in the long run.

It's the fact that his reads are whack and the fact that the posts he has made are so disgustingly non-committal. He has a bunch of slots sitting at or around null that he's willing to lynch for...reasons. We're long past that point in the game and yet despite the fact that I know he's reading, he's still walking around making real reads. When he's actually looked like he's making moves, he's not actually. He walks in here and starts poking at me as if he wants to pressure me. That'd be a pretty good move, right? Except he doesn't. He ties his vote to Ami's, ******* that they won't move theirs, does nothing about my pressure whatsoever, and yet still sits on me in the "lynch pool". Despite not having a scumread. Despite not even initially having a scumread regardless of that early prodding he did (remember, he claimed he hasn't had a scumread he's wanted to pressure or push). He walks in here to say that Jexs and Levi are town and that we shouldn't be pushing them. Okay, that's fine, but he's not actively doing anything about that. He's not pushing us down another alley, he's not providing us with alternatives. He's just telling us we're idiots and then going back to sitting in the background. There's literally no movement from this slot but he'd try to make you believe otherwise. How is that anything other than scummy play? He's safe as **** and refuses to stick his neck out further than he has to.

Why should I like this slot?

Wait for me to get home. Protean vs J is pointless. J's play is fine. He had a good reason to be inactive. I don't see what problem Protean sees, if it's him not actively pushing then I really don't see him as scum since I'm doing the same thing.

After the last post where Protean quoted me, I feel more that this is him latching on to the idea of J being inactive = scumminess and not letting go of it. J has seemed fairly town in his responses, just frustrated.

Whether Protean latching on is scummy or not depends on the reread I'll do tomorrow after I get some sleep, plus whatever he posts tonight.

He's talked around me the whole ****ing game. He's asked if people would push me. He's said he's willing to lynch me. He's constantly prodded at me. At no point does his vote come out on me, at no point does he actively say I'm scum, at no point does he try to push me. Maybe he's not a sheep for it (gorf thinks he is) but it doesn't change the fact that it's still scummy as ****. There's a very obvious disconnect between how he's held me at arm's length this whole game and what he's saying about his own damn reads.

Naw I just don't give a **** about who your mates are at the moment. I'm 100% confident in my ability to snag them after you flip scum. Right now it's infinitely more important to show people that you are scum and convince them of it than wasting time hunting for potential mates when I don't even have your flip in hand yet. There's no reason to put the cart before the horse at this stage of the game.
