What happened. On saffron city HD, me (mewtwo) vs lucario. We are both standing on the left most building. Lucario casts a mega-orb, I powershield it, I assume I get knocked off the edge from a windbox, the mega-orb does not expire, and instead lingers and remains stuck in place, until its timer expires. I’m not sure this is a bug or a feature of the mega-orb skill.
Shouldn't the Mega-orb expire when you power shield it?

Here is an image of the moment when I power-shield it, and the locations we were standing in http://imgur.com/ajtcsGd

Hardware: Dolphin

Load method: Virtual SD card GECKO

Version: 3.6 B

Custom Content: Custom music track

I tried looking for the replay file, but I cannot find it. If you guys need I can try and record footage of the bug, or find the replay.

Shielding aura spheres from different angles/positions can cause them to bounce and fly in different directions at different speeds. Since the big sphere travels so slowly, your powershield caused it to lose all of its velocity and "hover" in place until it naturally dissipates.

It's just a result of how shields and certain projectiles work. Your shield didn't instantly terminate the sphere similar to how shielding snake's nakita missile in brawl at certain angles wouldn't blow it up and instead alter its movement path.

Ah got it, I tried looking up online if it was a feature first before posting, no luck. But your explanation makes sense.

Yup, as @ Xermo Xermo said, it's a result of powersheilding / shielding a big slow projectile.
Thanks for the report though. NOt so much a documented feature, but just the physics involved.

Resolved.
