Artwork of Big Bob-omb from Mario Party 9.
Big Bob-omb is the king of all Bob-ombs in the Mario universe. Originating in Super Mario 64 as the first boss of the game, this mustached explosive has appeared in several Mario spin-off titles since, with a presence in the series comparable to other recurring bosses like Petey Piranha and Gooper Blooper.
As a playable character: Big Bob-omb is very slow and very heavy. He would be one of the hardest characters to knock off the stage, but in turn would have terrible speed and jump height. He would be quite large, around Bowser’s size if not slightly larger. Most of his specials would be explosion-based, and he would be able to throw his opponents quite far, as he did with Mario in Super Mario 64.

Disclaimer: King Bob-omb is a very, very unlikely pick for the Mario franchise, even after disregarding popular characters such as Bowser Jr. and Waluigi. Although he has little to no chance of becoming a playable character, it is fun to speculate how such characters would play were they in the game.
