Background:
Well guys, looks like we made it. After the great turn out at the cove last Monday for their weekly fighting game night I had a chance to speak with Van and he said it would be cool for us to add Melee singles to their monthly tournament (first sunday of every month iirc).
This tournament will only be MELEE SINGLES, I'm not sure if this will be subject to change in the future or not since they have other fighting game tournaments going at the same time as this.
Please bring setups so we can have this tournament run as smoothly as possible
Venue/Entry Fee:
$5 Venue Fee - This fee will also get you 20% off drinks - Courtesy of the owner (remember to tip)
$5 Entry Fee - This can be waived in exchange for bringing a setup (keep in mind we have limited room for setups so if you want to take advantage of this arrive early with your setup), just make sure you tell the TO when you sign up that you brought a set up
Payout:
60/30/10
Rules:
Apex Rule set
All sets 2/3 Besides WF, LF, and GF which will be 3/5
DSR, Wobbling till 250% etc. etc.
Bracket:
Double Elimination
Challonge - Search Cove Monthly
Registration:
Registration starts at 4:30
Brackets close at 5:30
Tournament starts at 6:00
Stream:
LSUSmash on twitch (tentative)
Matches will be recorded on one setup regardless if there is a stream or not
