NEWCOMERS ARE VERY WELCOME! This will be HUGE.

1. What events are going on and at what times?

This is a 2 Day event!

Revival of Auckland 2 will feature tournaments for Super Smash Bros Melee and Super Smash Bros for WiiU. Both tournaments will contain pools and a championship bracket.

There will also be a free Kiwi Rush 3v3/4v4 side tournament on Super Smash Bros for WiiU that everyone is encouraged to enter!

2. What do I bring?

Compulsory Venue fee - $5 (Does not have to be paid if you’re bringing significant equipment or if you are a member of the University Video Gaming Club)

Tournament fee if entering Melee - $5

Tournament fee if entering Smash 4 - $5

All money paid as the tournament fee goes towards the prize pool. If you are entering both games you have to pay both of the tournament fees.

Setups are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. More people bringing a TV/console to the venue will equal a smoother, better run tournament. If you do bring one of these, you don’t have to pay the $5 venue fee. Multiplugs and power cord extenders are also really important if you can bring them! Make sure you name and take care of your stuff. If you’re bringing something, please add it to the list below if you haven’t already. Also if you’re able to bring some recording equipment, please let us know!

Finally, you need your controller! A spare controller might be available at the tournament but this is not guaranteed. To all the 3DS Smash players, you’re able to connect your 3DS to Smash Wii U so you’ll be fine. And above all, bring your game and a positive attitude! :D

3. What are the rules? How do we determine what stages to play on?

All the rules for both Melee and Smash 4 can be found here in detail. Make sure you read them so you know how stage striking and counterpicking work. These may slightly change closer to the date of the tournament, If you message me or post in the fb group/event page I'm very happy to discuss this.

4. How do we find the venue?

When you enter the engineering building from Symonds Street, walk past the reception and you should see some stairs (elevator for big TVs). Go up one floor and follow the hype/loud dreamland 64 music to the left and you should be there. There should be a sign up pointing towards the tournament after you climb the stairs.

5. How will the prize pool work out?

There will be cash prizes for top 4 Melee and Smash 4 entrants. All the money in the tournament entry will be going towards the prize pool. The money will be split up by:

1st: 55%
2nd: 30%
3rd: 10%
4th: 5%
