-This is a retroactive post, I know it's unacceptable to be this late but due to personal reasons I've been way behind on reporting and announcing tournaments. I hopefully won't let this happen again, as hopefully I'll never have something so drastic happen in my life. My sincerest apologies to anyone who was slighted by this.-
KLPI is hosting a Super Smash Bros Tournament.
The games to be played are Super Smash Bros Project M
and Super Smash Bros for Wii U.
Tournaments: Doubles/Singles Wii U
Doubles/Singles Project M
Date: Saturday, January 10, 2015
Location: ESL Lounge 2nd Floor Student Center
Fee: $2.00 entry fee per tournament
Schedule:
Signups: 11am-noon
Tournament: 1pm-9pm
Prizes: Prizes are currently a 60/30/10 split for top 3. Feel free to come for friendlies even if you don't want to join in! We wanted to be able to provide some kind of prize for our winners, and hopefully can continue doing so (It's dependent on our venue letting us, after all!)
Each respective tournament begins right after registration closes. You
-DO NOT- need to be here for every single tournament unless you wish
to attend all of them, so feel free to stop by for what interests you!
As always, these tournaments are BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER. We always
try and help out, but there is no guarantee we can give you if you
show up without one.
Project M Ruleset:
4 stocks, 8 minutes, no items. Neutrals are bottom row, counterpicks are middle row (first page).
Matches best of 3, finals best of 5.
Bans 1/2/2/1 for first match.
Winners gets 3 bans after.
Wii U Ruleset:
3 Stocks, 6 minutes. Legal stages are as follows:
- Battlefield
- Final Destination/Omega Mode
- Yoshi's Island
Counterpick:
- Prism Tower
