Item Jump Glitch / Easter Egg?

Well, although I'm not totally sure if this is a bug, I'm pretty sure this feature wasn't in Melee: When you smash-throw an item upward in the air after your first jump, before the apex of the jump, and before any midair jump with L / R + A, you will actually move a fair distance upward (usually around twice the distance of an air-dodge), and it doesn't cost you a midair jump (There's a certain window of timing, but it's not too hard to figure out). It's actually a pretty neat glitch since it works with any item and with any character. If, for instance, you're playing as Jigglypuff and are throwing a fast-falling item such as a home-run bat, you can midair-pickup the bat again before you fall back down to your original throwing point, creating an infinite vertical height opportunity.

Normally this type of glitch isn't all that big of a deal, since items are usually turned off in professional matches, but certain characters, such as Peach, are able to spawn items at will. Going along with the Peach-turnip example, using this glitch drastically increases her vertical recovery and could have an impact on tournament play.

Welcome to the world of Brawl with a Melee air dodge: direction desired Aerial Glide Toss [AGT] time (although Melee has a slight movement). You can throw whatever direction you want and gain direction in whatever direction you want (Throw side-ways while moving Down), and the movement can be big or small depending on how far your air dodge was inputted (how far it would have gone if you say didn't have an item being thrown and that input lead to an air dodge, which varies in distance like we should know).

let me fetch some links for ya

Well I'm glad to see that I'm not the first one to notice this, since it seemed like a pretty big glitch :)

Is this actually legal in money matches? Because if it is, I totally want to see more of it.

You might want to play Diddy then, his peanut gun in P:M also has a Air dodge cancel (Like Wolf's) which also works to allow AGT'ing to cancel it

Also here's Ike catching a turnip and AGT'ing to survive
