If you, like myself, seem to have a buggy launcher which does not show any addons (including the one to enable wifi) in the addons menu, here is a workaround that will let you enable WiFi safe mode anyway.
You need to replace 4 files on your SD card. They are:
"RSBE01.gct" , (located in the "codes" folder),
"mu_menumain.pac", "sc_selcharacter.pac", and "sc_selcharacter2.pac", (all located in "projectm/pf/menu2").
The replacement files are already on the SD card in a zip file named "wifi.7z", found in "projectm/launcher/addons".
