How Long Can You Hold The Grenade?

I know that you can hold B to extend the time the grenade is out. I was just wondering if there was a limit or if it could be held indefinitely.

Depending on the variation Sheik side B range can vary but if it reaches it's max distance due to you throwing it off the stage it will explode automatically. Video of Sheik custom moves
