Help with Project M, CBliss and Stage expansion

I need a little help using CBliss and the (12 or 36) stage expansion on Project M... I don't really know why, but when I put them together, adding first the stage expansion then CBliss, the SSS gets all messed up and the game freezes when I select a stage.

As I know, CBliss requires some extra files to work. I'm using the ones that are in this template http://www.reddit.com/r/SSBPM/comments/1wxqq6/cbliss_with_pms_alt_costume_engine/

Until now I haven't been able to make it work, and I have not found a guide (or a thread for that matter) that explains the process...

Could you guys help me?

an idea, try using the stage expansion template then use the bliss tool to add the costumes to the get. Afterwards add all necessary files for how many costume slots you added.

I've tried to do this and got the same problem as him. They don't seem to mix well together from my understanding.

CEP with cBliss works fine for me. Going in the same order as OP, I added the 12, then moved onto the 36 expansion filling in the files and making sure they worked. Afterwards, I downloaded the P:M cbliss template and added in only the files I'd need, such as the BPs and junk, while I manually add in CSPs. Then I used the cBliss tool to select those who I wanted to be expanded.

You should explain to me how to do this.. I have a customized build with stage expansion and I would like cbliss in it. The game hangs after selecting a stage, sometimes. No idea how to fix this. All I did was add the code to the gct using the cbliss tool.

I'll try.

I started with the codeset (full) below, which contains the default P:M codeset along with the stage expansion codes (36 stages). Don't worry, even though it says 3.01, it's really the 3.02 codeset. I opened that file in codemanager so I can add any additional codes I'd like, along with the "cBliss codes" (below) as well. When finished you'd simply export as a .gct and open that file in cBliss tool to edit what you will.
As far as code work, that's all I did. The rest, which included the BP files, I'd gotten from the cBliss ready P:M pack. CSS portraits and stage icons were all done manually using stagemanager or brawlbox.

So after I use the cbliss tool and have the edited GCT am I required to add custom BPs/CSPs? (I didn't check any boxes in the cbliss tool). I'm using 12 stage expansion (here) and I also have a default settings modifier to default items off and unlock ness/marth/luigi code for netplay.

The BPs/CSPs are only required if a slot is expanded, so say if you set Ness on and at X costumes, you'd need to fill them in up to that point.

Hmm well I don't think I expanded any costumes so that's not it.. 99% sure I did everything right but still those freezes.

I'll give it a shot with the files @ Xermo Xermo provided (Thanks for the help btw!!!) to see if I'm able to make it work

I tried again and got (maybe) a little farther... I followed the steps that @ Xermo Xermo explained. I added the 36 stage expansion, then added the cBliss codes using the codeManager... Still when I added the contents of the cBliss ready pack (the necessary files) the SSS gets messed up (when adding the common5.pac under the system folder)... Surely I'm making something wrong

I'm sorry but could someone explain this a little better?

(Sorry for double post)

I remember that the guy who made the stage expansion allowed you to use your own common5.Pac but all you had to do is replace certain files. What did you do to your common5.Pac?

As WalkingAngel said, don't replace the entire common5 from the cBliss ready pack. Classic Expansion runs it's own common5 to accommodate for the additional stages. Just take the BP files and char_bust_tex_lz77 and import them into the working one.

I tried what you guys suggested... This time, the stage selection screen displays correctly, but it freezes when I select any stage... :/

Do you have battle portraits in the portrite folder and results screen portraits?

I didn't add any additional portraits at all but then again I didn't choose to expand any characters with the cbliss tool.
All right which common5.Pac are you using?

I'm trying to think of what could still be the issue, but if all else seems to fail I'll just send you a "naked" version of my files for you to edit.
