Before I even say anything else I'd like to thank Hylian for finally getting my account approved and for somebody I can't remember in SleepyK's twitch steam (I think it might've been FlyAgaric, but I can't remember with certainty) for suggesting that I tweet Hylian about an account approval.

Otherwise I actually can't think of what to say myself, so I'll follow the sticky and mention that:
  • I have no idea who I plan to main in Smash 4, I was planning on Meta Knight since I wanted a very offensive air focused air character, but I despised the insane nerfs and the necessary play style change that comes with it.
  • I've actually known about SmashBoards for much longer than my join date suggests, since, a bit before 2013 EVO, but I didn't really think about joining until close to the 3DS, but even then I waited just because I wanted a nice Joined Date to follow me around everywhere I go rather than some random mash of numbers. It works out too anyway since I was just starting to get sick of all the hate towards some players, but especially towards ZeRo, I see on other sites.
  • I have some interest in going to tournaments, but I can't really travel around at all and I feel like I'd just get eliminated round one/obliterated by literally everyone else even if I went out of my way to go to one.
  • I love anime of almost kinds, from Action to (Romantic) Dramas/Comedies, Horror to Slice of LIfe, and from Seinen to Harem, Echhi, Ero, ect. The only kind I don't really like tend to be Shonen Jump stuff because they go on for hundreds of episodes.
  • And for other games, I love literally almost every type of game I know, only exceptions are MOBAs like LoL and DotA, most fighting games, and mindless time/money sinks like most facebook and mobile games, and the only kinds I have never gotten around to trying yet are Danmaku games like main series Touhou, and grand strategy like, Total War (?Is that a grand strategy game?).
  • Rougelikes, mostly turn based dungeon crawlers, are most consistently my favorite type of game. I generally prefer mid-level difficulty ones such as Zettai Hero Project, over the easier ones like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, or the super hardcore true rougelikes with perma-death and a loss of ten/hundreds of hours if I die.
  • I like most Shooters due to inherently simple controls, both 1st and 3rd person, of which I generally prefer arcade-y ones like CoD, Halo, Gears of War, and some middle ground ones like Battelfield over realistic ones like Arma.
  • And I could go on and on about other games, Disgaea, ect, but for one last thing I'll mention my love for the Monster Hunter (and similar games) and Souls series, although I'll just keep the MH part short to keep things readable. I bought a both a Wii U and 3DS just for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, a PSP for MH Freedom Unite (and God Eater) before that, and a Wii for MH Tri before that, and I'll probably buy a Vita for God Eater 2, Souls
Sacrifice, and Toukiden at some point and a -New- 3DS for MH 4 when smash 4 inevitably brakes my current old one.
  • And finally Souls, but especially Dark 1, is a series I love and played exhaustively for hundreds of hours, both PvP and PvE, which are like two completely different games, and it was also my first experience with a competitive fighting game community (although not my first competitive community period, that goes to Gears). and I played tons of both in Dark Souls 1, along with both watching speed and challenge runs for PvE and learning as much PvP tech as I possibly could, although I ended up quitting the PvP scene before most of the currently major stuff like backstab escapes and some other nice things like perfect blocks became a thing. Unfortunately though I got to Demon's Souls too late to really experience the PvP, or at least with a community that isn't unbearable, so I could only PvE but about that community.
  • Souls was probably the worst non MOBA/fighting game community I've ever seen, both in and out of game, and it made the Gears 1 in game ranked playlist community, full of angry teens calling each other homophobic slurs every other match, seem like a good one. I could go on about how stuff like streamers uncommonly launching mass youtube dislike/twitch report attacks on others, plenty of casual elitists attacking anybody with any amount of basic skill, competitive elitists attempting to ridicule other comparatives and anybody that openly expressed admiration for them, the Brawl style community split that Dark Souls 2 caused (it's even the third game in the series and made by a different team than the last two funnily enough), ect.
  • But instead I'll just keep it at that and mention how even prominent members of the Souls community like HellkiteDrake and SansVie rage quit because they couldn't stand how vile it was, and I couldn't either despite how much I love the game, and how I'm glad that even the worst Smash related Youtube/Twitch commentators, but especially the users here on SmashBoards from what I saw so far from lurking, are so much better, and I hope smashboards and Smash games, but especially smash 4 with it's potential for online tourneys eliminating most of my problems, will finally give me a reliable competitive home. I hope my time here and with smash will be great and long lasting!
And Thank You to all who read this! Especially the last part.
And I guess just to top off the sticky recommended subjects, I'm not currently actively involved in any other gaming community besides ones for two Visual Novels on a certain monopolizing PC digital game distributor, although I was very active on a Pokemon forum until Smash happened.
And I'm on other sites and platforms such as that distributor's I mentioned, and two other consoles, but I'm not 100% clear on the rules about mentioning other sites and if it could be considered advertisement.
Also I'm glad this subfourm exists too, it really gave me some insight into how this fourms posting systems work.

good intro, you sound hardcore as heck. I played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon so like that's the extent of my experience, although Etrian Mystery Dungeon looks really cool so I'm getting that.

oh and Meta Knight isn't as terrible as everyone makes him out to be imo. You'll mostly hear people lamenting the loss of his Brawl moves and that he has terrible range, but you'd be surprised. You should check out the MK boards and try giving him a second shot.

Thanks, and it's impressive how fast you replied too, I saw the alert pop up pretty quickly after I posted that.
I wish I replied sooner, but Youtube videos really distracted me.
And I actually haven't played Etrian Odyssey very much before now that I think about it, although I'll definitely have to try Mystery Dungeon too.

And yeah, I saw that he isn't as terrible as I though he was at first, but I'm still honestly still not very impressed, he has the best dash grab apparently and I think I remember a video of Itol6 pulling off a zero to death on FD, but he seems too punish heavy for me from what I've read, and the fact that even the better (as far as I can tell) like Itol6 seem to be dropping him for other characters for use in tourneys doesn't help my confidence in Meta Knight either, and the short range seems only second to the low damage output problem.

Also I realized I misspelled Ecchi- and almost did it again right there too.
I wonder what other errors I'll spot when I look at my post again after a good nights sleep.

Oh, and I like the Rottytops sig you're using, reminds me that I should try Shantae again on something besides an iPhone.

He's still fun though! I know Itoi dropped MK but iirc Katakiri has been placing very well with him, like no less that 3rd place in decent sized tournaments.

and EO is great, cute characters and tough dungeons is too good. Despite having all the games I haven't even beat EOI yet though...and played through a bit of EOIV. I'm terrible at getting games completed, especially JRPGs like those.

and Pirate's Curse is a good game, would recommend.
