Hello everyone

I was interested in joining these forums for some time now, I can't remember where I heard about them, but finally here I am, after getting beat for the 3rd time by a ****ty Sonic spammer in smash online, I finally decided to take a rest, register on smashboards and explore the comunity.

I started playing smash in the Melee days, and never left it since.

For years, my main has always been Luigi! but when Smash 4 came out, I focused on Sheik and was delighted from how much he had improved since Brawl. (I later found out I was using an early top tier character.)

I recently won a small local tournament (32 participants, some of which did not even know how to play properly to be honest, but others where fairly, or really good.)

I live in Spain, so Tourrnaments overseas are quite far from my reach. However, I am interested in any tournaments which are at my reach.
I am currently participating in LVP + Meristation's Spanish tournament. (300+ participants, I'm already on 3rd round.)

I'm hoping to learn a lot from this comunity, and also share my experience whith others

Hello and Welcome to Smashboards. UI guess the only thing good out of that Sonic beating is that you joined us. Sometimes is good to take a break. try somthing new or just reflect and find the tiniest errors to capitalize on for next time. Also "delighted from how much he had improved since" is a bit wrong in the gender part as Sheik is Zelda hidden. No need to argument about been proven by official Nintendo sources as a female. I use her a few times but i'm no good. I prefer to main Zelda in magical form rather that warrior form or rather in her ninja like form since she does look beautiful in warrior form on Hyrule Warriors. Tournaments are a good way to improve as you find many people to deal with. Humans make sometimes bad but mostly better use of a character's abilities than a cpu. Hope you participate in many. It will help you grow a lot.

I wrote my introduction at 2 A.M today, I was a bit tired and needed some sleep. Believe me, I am most concerned about refering to sheik in her proper gender xD allthough I am still dobtous.

So yeah, I'll be opening and checking out debates on Sonic, and also King DeDeDe, which are my biggest pains up to date. (I luckily still haven't had the chance to meet a good Rosalina or Diddy online)

Oh yes. I cut it short saying no need to argument so we could both express the opinion and keep it like a conversation. After all a welcome's post purpose is not a fight or discussion but rather a way to interact with others to break the ice. It's also a purpose to begin a topic maybe to a minor extend but some intro threads are lively and go for a long time. I do have a few lets say doubts about how can Zelda be so modest and calm normally yet in Sheik form she's like a beast. I mean Smashwise if you compare speed and movesets they are simply too different while in the games it's like an entire different person. Perhaps its a dual conscience like those tales were you have inner power awakened or another side of you. It's by far the only thing I can come up with. Although said to be female by official sources, they to what I think have not explained how radical the change she goes. It could be that back in the old times sometimes there weren't much way to actually create someone into another without a different model or the story was not explained properly correct. Thus They now mean what they meant but have difficulty explaining or implementing how it came to be. Some videogame characters suffer fall their life due to a minor error design or story mishap and they carry that with them to future games as to keep consistency about the character. I believe Sheik suffers from this.

On the other hand it seems you have problems with two opposite forces. one is small and fast the other is big and slow (in the term slower than Sonic) Some characters used well can be fast if you time your offense. On myself my problem is Mac. Always been but some Sonics are annoying I have to say.
