Event - Apex 2015 Ganon Gauntlet 2014 RESULTS/VIDEOS

Ganon Gauntlet

Challengers bet $5-20 to fight seven of the world's best Ganondorfs in a series of 1 stock, 3 minute matches. If the challenger defeats every Ganon, then he wins double the money he bet.
- Ganon wins timeouts, regardless of percentages.
- Ganon wins Ganoncides.
- Both players have a 15 ledge grab limit.
- If the challenger wins the Gauntlet using only Ganondorf, he gets quadruple his money. Using only Link, he wins triple.

If there's one thing I could say about this year's Ganon Gauntlet, it is this: Ganondorf brought the hype. With more than double the entrants from 2012, as well as accommodations by the lovely Apex staff that involved giving us a projector for 10 hours, this year's Gauntlet surpassed my wildest, darkest fantasies. I want to thank all of our Ganons, old and new, who volunteered their entire Sunday to make the Gauntlet possible, as well as the spectators who made things exciting and the challengers who so readily gave us their money.

After viewing this list, one can conclude that the exposure was simply too real. We let a few more slip by us than we would have liked, but the ~$50 we each pocketed dulled the regret quite nicely. Thanks to everyone who participated, and here's to hoping that they **** up Ganon again in Smash 4 so we can hold more of these in the years to come!

DLA really had my number. I had to face him in both pools AND the GG. I at least feel at peace knowing I died with honor in both encounters with Ganon. With that said, I loved the Gauntlet and it needs to be present in other future events. It was a definite Apex highlight for me.

Holy crap, did I really miss playing that many people? Didn't realize it 'til I saw this list.

Glad we were at least able to do <something> with our Sunday. It's pretty bad when the most serious sets you played all weekend were pools and about 30 1 stock matches LOL. Nothing more evil than making minimum wage spilling blood though.

For those who don't know (which is most of you I guess), the reason the recording program crashed and the first wave of videos was lost was because someone (don't remember who) won their first few matches with Ganon without actually killing anyone and the hype was too real.

Many have described this event as a highlight of their Apex 2014 experience. I felt similarly, and as my first ever entrance into the gauntlet I was thrilled to offer the green beast as a blood sacrifice to the Ganon lords.

But to clarify-- upon commencing the challenge, my level of utter apprehension rose to a level I haven't felt before. I haven't experienced nerves like that since MLG 2010.

I would love to take part in this gauntlet challenge again, but to those who dare-- beware!! The fear is real!!!
