Tourney Locator Presents: Finally, a Smash 4 Tournament!

This is the US release weekend of Smash for 3DS, and to celebrate, we will be hosting a tournament at FX game Exchange! Come test your stuff against the best players in the city! There will be 3 events: Doubles, Singles, and Custom Move Singles!

Schedule:
10:30- Registration opens
11:30- Registration closes, doubles starts
2:00- Singles Begins
7:00- Doors Close


Fees:
Venue- $10
Doubles- $10 per team
Singles- $5
Custom Move Singles- $5

Match Procedure/Rules
1. Each match is played as 2 stock, 6 minute, 2/3. Finals will be 3/5
2. Each player selects his/her character. A player may request double blind selection.
3. Stages will be struck from three starters: Battlefield, FD, and Yoshi's Island Brawl.
4. Loser of the first match selects the stage for the next match, then winner selects his/her character, then loser selects character.
5. Counterpick stages: Lumiose city, FD variants.

Additional Rules:
- if a match goes to time, the win goes to the player with more stocks or lower percent if equal stocks. In the event of a tied stock and percent, a one stock, 3 minute match will be played as a tiebreaker.
- Mike Haze Rule- No using loud noises or distractions outside of the game to help you win.
- Mii Fighter is not legal

Custom Mode Rules
- Same as singles, but each character may use any combination of special moves
Equipment with the following Bonus Effects are not permitted:
Vampire: Life Stealing
Shield Healer: Shield restores health
Escape Artist: Shield Counter
Equipment that gives players an item when entering a battle: Star Rod, Lip’s Stick, Nintendo Scope, Ray Gun, Fire Flower, Beam Sword, Home Run Bat, Bomb-Omb, Mr. Saturn
Auto-Healer: Auto-Heal
Pity Final Smasher: Final Smash After Respawning
Final Smash Healer: Healing Smash Ball
Double Final Smasher: Double Final Smash
Sudden Death Gambler: Lucky Sudden Death

This tournament's singles brackets will be run as swiss rounds; which means every player will get as many matches as possible. The number of rounds will be decided day of the tournament. Be sure to tell your friends about the event!
