[Feb 22, 2015] Smash Homelessness (Orlando, Florida)

This Sunday Player 1 Video Game Bar will be hosting a Smash 4 tournament that will benefit Coalition for the Homeless. This is a bar so the tournament will be a 21 and up event. Entry fee will be 10$ (Or 8$ with a donation to Coalition for the Homeless). There will be 70$ added to the pot. You will need to bring your own controller. Rules set will be same as Paragon and will be double elimination.

Fee break down is as follows:
5$ goes to venue
3$ goes to tournament pot
2$ goes to Coalition for the Homeless (This will be waived if you bring a donation instead)
= 10$

Possible donations to bring to waive 2$ would be clothes, blankets, puzzles, board games, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc. Basically anything that is in good condition. Please do not bring food as a donation.

If there are 16 attending or less
1st place: 70% cash
2nd place: 30% cash

If there are 32 or more attending
1st place: 60% cash
2nd place: 25% cash
3rd place: 15% cash

Practice starts at 4:30pm
Tournament will start at 5:30pm


Player 1 Video Game Bar offers many arcade machines to play for free (With entry) and has all major consoles (Playstation 4, Xbox one, Wii u, etc). They also offer a full service bar. Feel free to check them out at http://www.player1orlando.com/

Tournament rules are as follows:
  • 2 stock, 6 Minutes, Items set to off
  • Mii Fighters and Custom Moves are not allowed
  • Best of 3, Finals Best of 5
  • No excessive stalling
  • Gentleman's Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to
  • If each player has one stock remaining and the match ends due to a suicide move (Ganon's side-B, DDD's swallow, holding someone in a grab on a platform as it moves out of the boundaries, etc.), the player who initiated the move wins.

  • Smashville
  • Battlefield
  • Final Destination

Counterpick Stages:
  • Castle Seige
  • Delfino Plaza
  • Duck Hunt
  • Halberd
  • Lylat Cruise
  • Town & City
  • Omega Stages (if Final Destination is banned, Omega stages are also)

First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2 order.
Following stages decided by winner banning 2 stages and then loser choosing.
