Doc wifi teams glitch

So I was playing dubz on wifi and I noticed every time I tried to pick green Doc it would show me as Doc in the training stage, but once the match started I would be regular Mario, but it was only in teams, so far I haven't experienced this with any of the Doc colors 1v1.
