* 4 stock, 8:00 minute timer

You are responsible for knowing your own character and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.
* Dave's Stupid Rule: You cannot counterpick a stage you have won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
* Player's Choice Clause: You may play by a rule outside of this ruleset if your opponent agrees to it as long as it does not deliberately delay the tournament process. In the event of a disagreement, house rules stand.

Tiebreaker #2: Wins
Tiebreaker #3: Losses
Tiebreaker #4: Head to Head
Tiebreaker #5: One stock playoff

General Rules
-BYOC (Bring your own controller): Players are expected to bring their own controller and be prepared for every tournament set.

-Pause can be requested off and that request cannot be denied. If one pauses mid-match, the person who initiated the pause loses their current stock. If the pause causes the opponent to lose their stock (Such as interfering with recovery), the person who initiated the pause loses two stocks. If there is any doubt in the ruling of a pausing incident, stop what you are doing and CALL ONE OF THE TOs TO YOUR MATCH.

-You are responsible for your own controller and name tag.

-Coaching is allowed only between games, not during.

-DQ Rule: Arriving too late for a match will result in a DQ. Player(s) will have 5 minutes to show up before a loss of the first match. 5 more minutes results in a loss of the set. For doubles, both players on a team need to be present in order to play.

-The tournament organizer has the right to save/record any tournament match if possible and has the right to upload said match.

-Players may request that any texture, stage, or other hacks be disabled during a tournament set. If this is unable to be done, they may switch to a different setup if available.

So Diego and I have transformed our Impromptu stuffs into a Biweekly...hurray.

Made some slight modifications to the ruleset to make things more clear, for both Melee and PM.

For instance,

-ALL semi-finals will now be bo5, both doubles and singles in both events.
-PM ruleset now allows TWO stage bans per set.
-Dave's modified rule has been replaced with the regular Dave's stupid rule in both Melee and PM.

Hopefully we've worked out the kinks and things won't run as late as the last time...nor will I forget the USB cable for my streaming setup!!

We WILL stick to the schedule as listed...if you are late to signup, TOO BAD.

First one will be in two weeks, December 1st...and if all goes well, every two weeks after!

Oh, and we need a more amazing name :O

have you guys been using 2.5 for tournies?
Nope, we've been using 2.1. Rat and I are the only PMBR members with access to 2.5 and we can't give it to other people.

That being said, I may or may not come to this depending on how my finals schedule works out. If I do come, then be ready for CHARIZARD'S RETURN.

I was waiting for this to happen. Hell yeah. Now I can miss some sometimes and not have to worry "what if there's not another P:M tournament soon?"

Pretty sure this thread was up before he posted the facebook post, besides the guy said he didn't want too big a turnout so he posted it only on facebook. Sorry matt

I'm pretty new on the competitive scene, but I'm pretty interested. It'd be a pretty long drive though, so no promises about the upcoming tourney, but I will see about a month from now. Housing would be an issue though. I mostly play P:M.

Going go to this instead of the other conflicting tournament.

Sounds like this'll be pretty relaxed this week. Gotta work up the wolf.
