I recently made a topic regarding this recently, but I'm unable to find it. However, we now have a set date for the tournament: Saturday, December 20th. We're looking to start at 3 PM, but currently times are flexible for later in the afternoon. Rules will be posted soon. Feel free to ask any questions and be sure to check out the link posted above!
Basic Rules:
3 stock
8 minute time limit
Items turned off
Customs turned off.
Double-elimination bracket
Match Rules:
Best 2 out of 3.
Grand Finals are best 3 out of 5.
If the Grand Finals hit Round 5, the match will be played on Final Destination.
Round 1, both players decide on a Neutral.
Round 2, the losing player decides on a counterpick.
Round 3, if it goes to that, the loser of Round 2 will choose a counterpick stage.
Characters can be switched during rounds, regardless of wins or losses.
Special Rules:
Initiating Bowser's Side B for a suicide-kill on the last stock will result in SUDDEN DEATH. As such, Sudden Death rules will be played. If Ganondorf initiates a Side B on the final stock, however, Ganondorf will be the victor as he saves a stock, whereas Bowser loses his.
No stalling. Any attempt to evade and run away from the player to time them out will result in a DQ.

Special Stage Rule:
If you and your opponent want to play on certain stages, you are more than welcome to. I've played Spear Pillar and PictoChat at Brawl money tournaments and it progressed normally. Keep in mind that playing on peculiar stages is what may release them from a ban list in the future, so experimentation is always welcome. Just make sure that you and your opponent agree to it first.
Note that the stage list is the first draft. The final stage list will be marked by the end of this week. Keep this in mind.
