My 11 year old bro,Twitch, and I play together alot, and since he feels like he could do better(and he can, but he's not bad) he wants to show you some videos of us. Please critique/comment.

I apologize in advance for the pathetic sound and motion quality of the vids. Try to get past that and just work with what you can.

Well, I am working on my Marth's control...How should he stop Marth's stage control? He rarely suicides as well, but it was pretty good to get it on video lol.

Wow. For an 11 year old, he's got game. But as for stage control, IMO I think he's relying on the plats a bit muchfor a breather. And up against a Marth + Plat stage, "Bad" idea. I think he should try to stay out the air more, that way he can at least keep partial stage control.

Y'know..I think he could probably beat me. o_o; Both of you...-Goes to practice.-

Well, I do kinda say a little something about that in the initial post...Any thoughts about play or spacing or shinespikes?

We both just picked up advanced techs about 5 months ago, he has just started(in the last month) to take his Fox more seriously. Do you, or anyone else, have any criticism for him? He wants to improve, and I can only help so much(cuz I don't play Fox much cept for fun).

He needs to abuse Fox's speed to keep you guessing. Better use of dash dancing, wavelanding, and single sh lasers should help to make Marth feel more pressure. Make sure that when he upthrow upairs that he is fastfall l-canceling those, as on platforms he can follow up 2-3 more times if he can follow your DI. Double jump fakeouts also work well. Just make sure you double jump near Marth's chest height if they shield to see if you can provoke a missed shield grab.

If your under the stage you can sometimes just upB straight up and avoid the counter by Marth alltogether as well. I wouldn't try to jump out and shine Marth so much, only if he is readable in his overB stall. Your better off just CCing near the edge and shining if he doesn't sweetspot at low percents. Or edgehogging for invinvibility to a bair, nair, or drop down shine.

Also work on mixing up the recovery. Fox is at a disadvantage when off the stage since he can't sweetspot that well, but you you have several options that I haven't seen you use. You can tech the counter sometimes if you know how to do it as well. Firefoxes off and above the stage angled towards the edge can be harder to punish since you can also go above onto the stage so you may not want to drop down below the stage edge. You can also phantasm above Marth onto the stage, then once he starts reading that you can to a short phantasm to grab the edge instead.

I rambled but I think I covered some things to try out.

He has the attention span of a dead gnat, but I'll get him to work on it. Thanks for the informative posts man, you are really helpful for both of us. Does anyone have anything else to add?

..Dead gnat. xD! But yea, abuse the speed. A godsend such as that has to be used for evil.
