I always imagined that the Fox in Melee and maybe 64 is actually James McCloud, but he forgot his sunglasses.
Meanwhile, the Fox in Brawl is the real Fox McCloud, and admittedly he's not as strong as his father, but he's special in his own ways.
Also, James McCloud sounds cool as a Japanese man.
