Are we done with Character Reveals?

With the game a month away from launching in Japan, that must mean that the 3DS Version is finished and they are taking this month ship out copies to retailers, correct? So does this mean that there will be no more newcomers since the roster is finalized? Maybe some veterans that didn't get talked about in trailers like how it was for SSBB will return but is that it?

I guess we should wait first for what this month's Nintendo Direct will show us in terms of Smash news....
We could probably get to see the starter roster at least I suppose....

(This is of course excluding most unlockable characters who would still be revealed after release like it was in Brawl)

I think we should at least get two or three more veterans, and one more newcomer. The rest of the characters should be secret IMO.

I think we'll get two more newcomer videos, myself. And even though it's coming out in Japan next month, it's still another month for the rest of the world. Yeah, most people will know the final roster by then, but still.

He also said 'stash of new character VIDEOS', so in other words we'll probably get another character reveal trailer soon. Like I said, the rest of the newcomers (and veterans)!will probably be secret.

Its' not that there is a problem specially. It's just that there is no concrete info and even less to speculate on.
So no actual useful answer's will probably be made until get get more info.

To be fair, didn't we get like a Smash, Tomodachi Life and a Mario Kart 8 Direct during April? Or the Wonderful 101 and a general Direct during August 2013?

It's not really taking long, E3 2013 we got three new characters, and didn't get Rosalina and Luma until December, the we had to wait until Feb. to get LittleMac, and then April for Greninja. You get the rest. Technically we just got some Newcomers last month and the month before... so yeah.

I'm kind of finding it a bit silly that Sakurai showed off most of the character reveal videos before launch but wouldn't do a subspace mode because he didn't want it spoiled or leaked or whatever.

Regardless, I'd welcome more veteran reveals over newcomers.

It's been less than a month since Robin, Lucina, and Captain Falcon were revealed. I wouldn't say it's been that long.

I personally think we'll get another newcomer and a couple of veterans revealed before the Japanese release.

That's exactly why he's doing it.

He didn't like things getting spoiled, so he's spoiling it himself.

In an interview he said every newcomer is going to have a trailer, and that the trailers will be available to view on the game right away as well.

Which leads me to believe that we will know who all the newcomers are before release. There won't be any hidden ones, but that doesn't mean some will be unlock-able.

I would have rainbows coming out of my mouth if we got Super Sayian 3 Ganondorf for Smash 4, or atleast as a costume.

Sakurai hated other people spoiling his surprises. He has no qualms about revealing his surprises himself, which is what he's been doing.

I think we have at least one more newcomer video before release, unless Sakurai does an information blowout the week of release and spoils everything... which I think may still happen. But, it is probably more likely that we will get one more video before September, revealing 1-3 characters (new and returning), with the rest waiting until release day, or perhaps slowly (and kind of pointlessly) trickling out in the weeks following release.

Yes you are correct so I would say we will at least get a general direct this month, but I think we could see a Smash direct.

As people have mentioned Sakurai said we are ate the "bottom of the barrel" he didn't say this is the last one. I'm actually expecting two more newcomer trailers.

I think it could end up being another streamed trailer. (outside of a direct)

Personally I think we have another two trailers. Sakurai might be intentionally keeping them close to release to keep the hype flowing.

I'm thinking we'll get a direct/trailer any day now. Then we'll get another (probably streamed on its own) trailer a few days before release in September.
