The title says it all.
I already know a bunch of you buffoons are going to disagree with this, because for some reason you really want arthritis.
Imo advanced techs are hurting this game more than they help it. All they do is raise the skill floor ad add 0 depth to the game. Why should newer players have to log in hours of practice just to even start playing the game? Once you learn how to do them it becomes automatic, then when you mess up you get punished. These techs only have negative impacts and they must be removed, or else pm may die when smash 4 comes out. I propose that we make the advanced techs automatic, because you have to do them anyways so it makes sense.
Here are a few examples
1) Automatic chain grabbing- Hold Z and your character will continually chain-grab the opponent.
When you are marth vs spacies on final destination usually relies on Marth getting the chain-grab. You work your but off to grab those ******** and in the middle of the chaingrab they escape, WTF! Its really unfair that they are able to escape a combo just because you missed a re-grab.
2) Automatic DI- Your character will automatically use combo, and survival Di every time you get hit
Let me be the first to say that i think DI is a stupid mechanic to begin with. You have to smash your control stick every time you get hit? You shouldn't have to react like that every time you get hit, when you get hit your opponent should be rewarded for landing that hit, you shouldn't be able to escape an opponents combo or survive a strong hit. This mechanic hurts the players who landed the hits, the person who is getting hit is rewarded for smashing the sticks and isn't punished for not using DI because they get hit with the knockback they deserved. All this mechanic does is reward the player getting hit.
3) Automatic multishines- Your character will continually shine for as long as you hold the b button
Multishining has a pretty tight window, and if you miss that window you will most likely get grabbed and then Zero to death'd. Its another mechanic that you have to do and when you miss it you will just get punished. Its very unfair and potentially hurts players who are thinking about maining spacies. This change will ensure that you don't have to be as good as m2k to apply shield pressure.
4) Automatic Edge guards- Press d pad when your opponent is off stage and your character will automatically edge guard
This is a mechanic that will be critical to the survival of Project M. Quick KO gimps are very hard to execute, but a lot of the time they are essential to win a match. Everyone has to edge guard, and when you mess up your opponent gets to survive. Once again, it doesn't reward you it only punishes you. You have to edgeguard every match, and when you miss it you are punished. It really has no place in this game. So now, when you get your opponent over the edge you can kill them without fear of messing up.
5) Automatic L cancelling and Wavedashing- All landing lag is halved, you can map any button to wave dash
Melee players think that they are soooo cool. "Look at me i can L-Cancel, I bet you cant L cancel." "Hehe fight me irl i bet you don't even wave dash." You know what i have to say about melee players?
F*ck em, f*ck them all. you guys and your "Tech Skill" think that you're top sh*t, stop tainting our perfect game with stupid techniques and broken ass characters like no skill fox and falco. Melee players are a disease to this community and must be stopped.
6) Automatic dash dancing- Your character will automatically dash dance
Dash dancing is such a hard technique, players should not have to spend hours worth of practice to learn such a vital technique, it should be automatic.
7) Automatic combo- If you land a hit your character will automatically combo your opponent.
Combos are an aspect that every fighter game needs and it is a shame that the smash bros combo mechanic is so flawed. With crap like di you cant tell where your opponent is going to be when you hit them, and with all the different hit boxes it makes it even worse. This is bad because everyone should combo in this game and it takes way to long to even learn the basics of comboing. Its an overall bad design imo. Combos shouldn't be about memorizing certain hitboxs or character weights, you should be able to hit your opponent once and be rewarded with a Ko.
This is an extremely difficult game to pick up as is, and what turns many players off is how long it takes to learn these things. I don't know about you, but i have a life. I'm pretty sure a lot of us have lives and we don't want to waste it on learning how to wavedash. It takes to much time to learn how to do all of these things and it is hurting this game. This game isn't about execution, it makes no sense to have to practice advanced techs if your are just going to use them every single match. Players should not have to practice these things in order to be good.

You can rant about how you disagree all you want, but i don't have time to explain this to someone who still believes that we landed on the moon or something.
