Prices:

Operations fee: $10
Smash 4 Singles: $5
Smash 4 Doubles: $10 per team

Payouts:

8 or more entrants

1st place: 60%
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 10%

7 or less entrants

1st place: 70%
2nd place: 30%

11:00 am: Smash 4 Singles Pools
1:00 pm: Smash 4 Doubles
3:00 pm: Smash 4 Singles Top 8
6:00 pm: Tournament Concludes

Food:

Dominos and Subway are walking distance from the venue. There's also a convenience store and a few restaurants in the area as well. There's even more food options nearby the bus interchange and inside the Canberra Centre

Smash 4 rules:

* 3 stock, 8:00 minute
* Items OFF.
* Custom moves OFF.
* Equipment OFF.
* Mii Fighters must have default height and weight and use a 1111, 2222 or 3333 moveset.
* Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks, then by percentage.
* In the event that a suicide move ends the game causing Sudden Death, the initiator of the move is considered the loser.
* Dave’s Stupid Rule: You cannot counterpick any stage you have won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.

Stage Strike from Starters for the first match of the set in “1221″ fashion:

1. First player strikes one stage.
2. Second player strikes two stages.
3. First player strikes one stage.

After each match:

1. Winner announces two (2) stage bans
2. Loser chooses counterpick stage
3. Winner chooses their character
4. Loser chooses their character

In the event two or more players are tied at the conclusion of a round of pools, the following process will be done:

Players will be compared with each other on various criteria in this ordered precedence:​

1. Set Wins
2. Wins
3. Losses
4. Head to head
   
5. One Game Rematch

General rules:
​

• No alcohol​
• Don't smell, please shower​
• Tournament matches have priority over friendlies & Money Matches. Money Matches have priority over friendlies​
• By entering this tournament, you agree to play your tournament matches on any setup the TOs request you to use​
• You also agree to playing your tournament matches at the time the TOs request you to play them​
• Keep trash talking casual, no need for us to witness someone getting a punch in the face​

10 am - 6 pm

Given the player - setup ratio at these events, the TOs have decided that it will be best to continue to run with a pools format for the foreseeable future. That being said, please bring setups this weekend. Wii U's and Smash 4 will be needed as usual and Gamecube Adapters are also in high demand. This time we will attempt to see if it is possible to acquire a decent amount of LCD TVs as well so please bring one if you have any!

Other than that, the ruleset will be posted up shortly.

Yeah, we now have two monthly tournament series, ACT Arena is Wii U whilst Canberra Colosseum is Melee/PM. Results from the most recent one can be found here.

The next installment of the ACT Arena series is officially up! Sunday, 17 May is the day so be sure to save the date and practice in the mean time! It will also be the last chance to get in some practice in a tournament setting before BAM 7 :o
