Actually, they're still around if I recall correctly.
Heck, if anything, the more fake ones are Martha (I swear I've heard that one before), Pakistan (no comment here), Fast (six-year olds should know who Sonic is), and Dragon (it's Charizard. Nuff said).

Power Rangers is on Nickelodeon and pulls in 2 million viewers per new episode, the merchandise is still in stores, I've seen plenty of little kids dressed up as Power Rangers for Halloween and conventions, and they have a major presence in social media. Kids today know Power Rangers.
