Smash 3DS Smash 3DS demo playable at CoroCoro tour in Japan - Final version will be "more polished"

Before you post something on this thread, please read this. The game is not finished yet. That was a misinformation, the starter roster will not be revealed in the next few days, unless it's a leak from CoroCoro which will obviously show all the characters from the Smash Bros. website.

As you have seen the title, it appears that the 3DS version will be playable at the CoroCoro tour in Japan.
It will be using the E3 demo of the game at select stores in Japan and that the final version will be more polished.
Before confirming this, the misinformation showed that the game's developemt was complete, with the starter roster being showed in the next few days. This is simply a misinformation that made people excited, but this is not the case.

GUYS Sakurai's tweets don't say anywhere that this demo is completed as far as I can tell, don't get your hopes up. He doesn't even say the game is finished, just that it will be "further polished"

Lucina is like an easier Marth, so she would be a starter.

I know that Lucina and Marth are separate characters and Sakurai considers them to be such, but I felt like they'd be together since Lucina was originally planned to be an alt costume for Marth. That's just the logic I used.

As I've said on Reddit, half the translations say it's the commercial version, while the other half say it isn't.
If I've been creating false hype for everyone for no reason, I'm going to get mad. The moments like this make me want to learn Japanese...

Well, this happened with Kid Icarus: Uprising too in that the game was finished in January 2012 and was released two months later.
There is still a chance Smash 3DS is complete. The game releases on September in Japan, making August the month to fix every issue, I guess.
Twitter has always been like that. You can only type 100 characters or so.

i think you're pretty on the money.

the way he said 「製品版は製品版で」(=~since a finished product has to be a finished product) in japanese makes it sound like the differences between what they have now and what they intend to have in a finished product are very minute, probably more like debugging than any sort of physics changes by this point.

but his post also confirms that the comicon build IS the E3 build, so there will probably be plenty of changes that were made since that build (esp because we don't know how old that build actually is to begin with).

Maybe, or they're using August to localize the game.

the game has been simultaneously localized from the get-go, hence NoA's continued wide knowledge over the game. and the screenshots being in english in all the english screenshots of the game (where in japan they're all in japanese).

we probably will still see POTD'S Sakurai gave Dojo updates after the release of Brawl in Japan can see him doing it for this one to but prblay mainly the Wii u version.
