Mario & Sonic Guy
Old rivalries live on!
For those who are new to Smash 3DS, one of the new features that Classic Mode has is the intensity scale. You can wager gold to increase the intensity level, which results in increasing your rewards, along with making your opponents harder.
Now, the amount of gold that you need to increase the intensity goes up as you reach each integer value, so the following table will give you an idea on how much gold you'll need for each intensity level.
On a side note, this table also applies to Smash Wii U's Classic mode, as it uses the exact same intensity scale system.
Intensity Range | Gold Range | Wager Multiple
0.0 - 2.0 | 100G - 0G | 5G per intensity decrease
2.0 | 0G | 0G
2.0 - 3.0 | 0G - 80G | 8G
3.0 - 4.0 | 80G - 200G | 12G
4.0 - 5.0 | 200G - 350G | 15G
5.0 - 6.0 | 350G - 550G | 20G
6.0 - 7.0 | 550G - 800G | 25G
7.0 - 8.0 | 800G - 1250G | 45G
8.0 - 9.0 | 1250G - 2200G | 95G
