Bonkers is a gorilla-esque mid-boss in the Kirby series, and he is the only enemy of which the Hammer ability is obtainable, other than playable King Dedede. No only does he wield a hammer, but he also has explosive coconuts. He is one of the most recurring characters in the Kirby series, the most recurring mid-boss and third most recurring boss, after Wispy Woods and King Dedede. His moveset would be a combination of King Dedede and the Ice Climber's hammer attacks and more series-relevant hammer attacks. He also borrows some moves form Bugzzy, the Suplex bug, and Capsule J2, the Jet enemy.
AAA: Thrusts his hammer forward thrice, dealing 8% damage.
Side Smash: Deals a flaming uppercut with his hammer, it has some lag, but only because it's incredibly strong, doing 16% damage.
Down Smash: Jumps on his hammer and spins it below, doing 10% damage.
Up Smash: Throws his hammer with his left/right hand, and catches it with the other. It goes in an arc, dealing about 7% damage, but it occasionally catches fire, doing 4% more damage.
Grab: A robotic hand comes out of the hammer and grabs the opponent.
Pummel: Bonkers smacks the opponent with an explosive coconut. After 5-7 hits, the coconut explodes, damaging him and the opponent. the pummels deal 2% per pummel and the explosion does 8% damage to both Bonkers and the opponent.
Forward Throw: Just a generic throw, does 3% damage.
Backwards Throw: Spins a lot, then throws them, deals 2%.
Up Throw: Jetpacks upward, then spirals down, cracking the opponent's head. 6%.
Down Throw: Grabs the opponent by the toes, then slams them twice. 6%.
B: Exploding Coconut: Throws an exploding coconut in a low forward arc, which explodes after a couple of second of hitting the ground, or when it makes contact. Does 10% regardless.
Side B: Ladybug: Lets one of Bugzzy's ladybugs free, which then dawdles around the stage, with no clear direction. If it hits opponents, however, it deals a whopping 19% damage, but it's a longshot that'll actually hit.. It goes slower than Ganondorf's walking speed.
Up B: Jet Capsule: Dons a jetpack, then launches himself diagonally in the direction he's pointed in. If he hits an opponent, he deals 8% damage. It takes him as far as all five of Kirby's jumps.
Down B: Flaming Hammer: Swings around in a circle with the flaming hammer. Deals 14% damage on impact.
Final Smash: Super Bonkers

Bonkers dons this outfit, and all hammer-based attacks deal 1.5 times the normal damage for 25 seconds. After this time frame, Bonkers slams a Level 3 hammer onto the stage, which is about the size of fully inhaled Jigglypuff. If in the air, he will launch himself toward the ground.

Cool thread, I'm just not sure if Bonkers is important enough. That being said, a more maneuverable King DeDeDe would be cool.

While he would be cool, he's simply to similar to Dedede to make unique character or to ever get in Smash. He is a much better choice than Krackle though. :chuckle:
