I am here to propose a very unlikely, hell, downright impossible candidate choice for Super Smash Bros. 4. However, as games constantly tell us, good will always prevail over evil and if we fight to our last breathe, we will reap the rewards. This can be applied to all areas of life: out families, our work, our future, and Smashboards. Every day, every hour; we fight on. The battle line has been drawn in the war-torn field with sides arguing, flaming, and insulting each other without much thought put behind it. A war that has divided people to such an extent that they failed to realize the looming darkness far beyond deep space - the fabled Master Hand. Now, with his armies poised to strike untold destruction and death onto the Universe; the Smashboards are sure to heed the warning and amass logic and intelligence to combat this most evil of invaders. However, Master Hand is only a puppet, just the herald of things to come. Behind this evil is even a greater, more diabolical evil.

The Reapers. A race of technologically advanced organic machines bent on destroying every galactic race in existence in order for newer, infant races to prosper. Through an ability called Indoctrination, the Reapers have enslaved Master Hand and have begun to harvest the Smash Universe; enslaving the toads, harvesting the Yoshis, brutalizing the Pokemon, and corrupting the Hyrulians all so newer yet-to-be-developed series can make their future mark on society.

But of course, red tape, bickering, and certain users hinder this progress until its entirely too late. Master Hand has descended into the Smaashboards causing death, destruction, and genocide. Along with his various soldiers and relatives, Crazy Hand for instance, have harvested the users of Smashboards and converted them into mindless Husks. Who will rally the users and drive Master Hand away from the Smashboards. Who will save the universe from this genocidal threat? Mario? He is too busy saving princesses. Donkey Kong? he is too busy saving his bananas. Link? He is too busy looking hot. Well, I know one unexpected hero that will save the universe from certain destruction.

This is MY Hero

ENTER: COMMANDER SHEPARD

Commander Shepard is from the critically acclaimed science fiction/3rd persons hooter franchise, Mass Effect. A three part game that successfully created worlds beyond our imagination, a cast of diverse characters, a predictable yet deep storyline that manages to hook in players, and game play that has been polished over the years. Commander Shepard pictured above are generally the accepted and official models. However, both the genders, skin color, hair style and color, eye color, and other facial features can be customized. In addition, players can choose from various classes which affect the type of techniques and abilities the Commander can use. The Commander is a graduate of the N7 program and one of the most decorated members of the Systems Alliance. In addition, the Commander is also the first human Specter, a galactic Council agent who is above the law.

WHAT IS
?

Mass Effect is a critically acclaimed and financially successful science fiction RPG game. It was developed by the studio BioWare who also developed Dragon Age, Buldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic as well as the MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Mass Effect 1 tells of Commander Shepard's efforts against the Geth, an advanced AI that has allied themselves with the rogue agent, Saren. Joining Commander Shepard is a great cast of characters such as Garrus Valkarian, Liara T'Soni, Ashley Williams, Kaiden Alenko, Tali'Zorrah nar Rayy, and Urdnot Wrex. The final outcome is that the humans gained a large and active role in Galactic politics and achieved universe-wide fame. However, news of the Reapers (still thought of as a myth) has surfaced and troubled the Commander. Mass Effect was first released on the Xbox 360 and Windows in 2007.

In Mass Effect 2, Commander Shepard then faces off against the mysterious Collectors, an insect-like race of aliens that collect and harvest other races for nefarious purposes. In addition to fighting both the Geth and the Collectors, Commander Shepard learns more about the Reapers and their roles in galactic genocide. Joining the Commander are veterans Garrus and Tali along with newcomers Miranda Lawson, Jacob Taylor, Mordin Solus, Jack, Kasumi Goto, Legion, Grunt, Samara, and Thane Krios. Mass effect 2 was released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Windows in 2010.

Finally, Mass Effect 3 details the incoming invasion of the Reapers and the seemingly pointless struggle to fight back against them. Every alien race are either being overrun, under siege, or dead. Commander Shepard leads the movement to unite all of the races against the Reapers and their forces and bring a brighter future to the Milky Way. Veteran squad mates such as Garrus, Liara, Tali, and Ashley/Kaiden return as well as newcomers James Vega and EDI. Mass Effect 3 was released on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Windows in 2012.

One cannot deny Commander Shepard's near-god like abilities, intelligence, strength, and will. Commander Shepard is truly the hero to save this war-torn galaxy.

"I fight for freedom. Mine, and everyone's. I fight for the right to choose our own fate. And if I die, I'll die knowing that I did everything I could to stop you. And I'll die free."

SCHEMATICS: COMMANDER SHEPARD'S STATS

So how would Commander Shepard work in Smash. Well, to begin with, the player can choose between two types of skins: Male or Female much like the ME franchise. On the character screen, the player can select it by clicking on the character and cycling through the palette swaps or pressing X or Y (gamecube/classic). In addition, the player has access to four options for Commander Shepard that drastically alters his/her game play style. located on the top and bottom corners of the box are four icons. They correlate as Solider, Infiltrator, Adept, and Engineer. Clicking on any of those will alter the Commander's appearance. However, not selecting one will result in a Solider Commander Shepard. these four drastically changes the play style of the character as well as changing the overall move set for some Tilts, some aerials, Smashes, and Specials.

Here are a break down of the following modes:

Soldier: The Soldier focuses on more offensive and standard abilities. These include Assault Rifles, Pistols, and Shotguns with abilities that focus on enhancing physical damage and endurance. The armor appearance appears large in size with heavy fortifications but do not slow down the Commanders speed. The Soldier has the highest amount of physical damage as well as defense. The Soldier is the default model and not selecting a particular class will automatically go to the Soldier.

Infiltrator: The Infiltrator focuses on speed and flexibility; swapping out the Soldiers heavy armor for more sleeker and lighter armor. The Commander wields knives, silenced pistols, sniper rifles, and sub-machine guns. Most of the Infiltrator moves are designed less on physical attack but inflicting quick and speedy attacks as well as technological enhancements such as hacking and cloaking.Their abilities focus on technical abilities.

Adept: The Adept focuses on Biotics, supernatural abilities given to the player as opposed to actual physical attacks. The player does not actually carry a gun and is the only move set that is different from the rest. It focuses more on long distance and defensive attacks than outright physical ones. The Commander takes on a more balanced set of armor.

Engineer: The Engineer focuses on technological skills as well as zoning/distancing with advanced combat drones and turrets. The Engineer carries both an assault rifle as well as a shotgun. The Commanders skills focuses on deploy various devices to add him/her in battle. The Commander has a more heavier appearance due to the amount of gadgets and pieces he/she carries.

CERBERUS FILES: COMMANDER SHEPARD MOVE SET

Ok, enough about mechanics and lets get into the actual game play. How will Commander Shepard play in a Smash Bros. game? I will go in to each class and the class' move set. Save for the Adept, each class is basically the same move set wise save for specials, smashes, and a few aerials/tilts/throws.

[collapse=Soldier]
For starters, let's go to the
Soldier

Special B Move Set

Neutral B - Concussive Shot
Concussive Shot fires a powerful-fast and hard hitting projectile from the Assault Rifle that streaks across the space and dissipates shortly after. It is a long reaching type of ammo that does 12% damage when it hits and does vertical knock back. It can reach a distance of a full Final Destination but its damage percentages decreases to 3% at the point and deals less knock back. It has a slightly start up lag due to the Commander changing the ammo type but lacks ending lag. It can be done in the air but still suffers from the same amount of lag. Commander Shepard will say "Take this!" It can OHKO as low as 50% but, due to its speed and accuracy, makes it a reliable KO move. The Concussive Round has a travel time of 3 seconds.

Side B - Incendiary/Cyro Ammo
Incendiary/Cyro Ammo fires a different type of Ammo; depending on how hard the player pressed the analog stick; much like Samus Super Missile. Pressing Side B normally will fire out a small burst of Incendiary Ammo. It only does 3% damage total but it can add an addition 5% if the player burns. It does a good amount of hit stun but it is a unreliable KO move. If the player slams the stick farther, the Commander will fire a burst of Cyro Ammo that does 5% damage and can freeze the opponent for an additional 4%. It moves slower though and has a shorter range compared to the Incendiary. The Incendiary Ammo travels more than half of Final Destination while the Cryro travels a little bit less than that. The Cyro Ammo is best used up close due to its ability to freeze the opponent. The Incendiary Ammo has a travel distance of 2 seconds while the Cyro has four seconds.

Up B - Adrenaline Rush

The Commander will glow red and suddenly his/her image will pulse quickly. They will then quickly shoot up at a diagonal angle. Any player caught in this attack will be hit with 9% damage and vertical knock back. However, this causes a freeze frame and both characters will pause dramatically. It has an impressive amount of distance but it is a rather slow attack. It has a small amount of priority but can be canceled by stronger attacks. In addition, compared to the other classes, the Soldier's Up B is fairly weak and slow. It suffers from a large amount of start up lag and a little ending lag.

Down B - Frag Grenade
The Commander will toss a Frag Grenade that can be cooked. Charging it will cause the Commander to throw the grenade farther. Depending on how long the Commander charged it, the grenade will bounce several times before exploding. The explosion will cause shrapnel to explode the grenade and does a large amount of damage to nearby players. It does 20% damage and drops by 5% the farther the opponent is away. Opponents who are nearby the Frag Grenade will experience high vertical or horizontal knock back. It is a very helpful zoning attack. It can OHKO as low as 35% making it the best killing move. However, due to its unique properties, it is hard to judge where to throw it and when. It does not have any sort of lag.

Ground Attacks

Neutral A: Omni-Blade
Pressing A once will cause Commander Shepard to do a upwards stab with his/her Omni-Blade. It does 6% damage. It is a quick move with no start up or ending lag. It doesn't do any knock back.

Neutral A; Omni-Blade (2)
Pressing A again will cause Commander Shepard to do a horizontal cut across with his/her Omni-Blade. This one does 8% damage, longer hit stun but doesn't do any knock back. Longer than the first attack.

Neutral A: Onmi-Blade Smash
Pressing A once more time right after the aforementioned attack will cause Commander Shepard to slam his Omni-Blade from overhead onto the opponent. It does 8% damage and does horizontal knock back. This attack is best used as a combo using the previous Neutral A attacks. It has a slightly ending lag.

F-Tilt: Rifle Butt
The Commander steps forward and slams his/her rifle butt into the opponent. Does 7% damage and does horizontal knock back. Slight start up lag in the first few frames. A very quick attack that does moderate damage.

Dash: Rolling Cover
Commander Shepard will leap forward, curl, and roll into the opponent; knocking them up into the air. It does 8-10% damage; depending on the momentum. However, it is unique since the player can then crouch behind a obstacle or a wall for cover if they roll into a wall. Moving away will cause the Commander to get back up.

U-Tilt: Shield Burst
The Commander will activate his/her armor shield thus electrocuting the opponent, knocking them upwards. It does 8% damage. it is a great sneak attack and has zero start up or ending lag, However, it can only hits from the back.

D- Tilt: Head Stomp
The Commander will take his foot and slam it forward; knocking opponents upwards. It does 10% damage. It has a little start up and ending lag. It has a short reach and only affects players who are lower than the Commanders abdomen. The hit box is located on the bottom of the Commanders boot and will spike players up if it connects. Overall, it is a powerful attack but with short reach.

Smash Attacks

Side Smash: M-15 Vindicator

Commander Shepard will shoot off a three-round burst of the M-15 Vindicator. It does between 18-22% damage. It hits about four Mario bodies away and does vertical knockback. It actually hits three times at such quick succession that by all accounts, it does one hit. Its long reach and relatively low start up lag make it a fairly good attack but has a little bit of ending lag near the end.

Up Smash: M-100 Grenade Launcher

Commander Shepard shoots the M-100 Grenade Launcher into the air. It shoots up in a arc; the speed and force is dependant on how long the attack was charged. It does 20-15% damage. It is a great guarding an surprise attack that can cause players to misjudge the attacks impact point. It has a long start up lag due to bringing out the gun and loading it but it has a relatively short ending lag. It hits hard and has a relatively complex hit box.

Down Smash: M-11 Wraith

Commander Shepard takes out the M-11 Wraith Shotgun, points it down, and fires it. It does 15-21% damage altogether. It has a long range of fire the farther away the opponent is but it does less damage the farther away the opponent is. It can reach 5 Mario bodies away. The farthest away is only hit with 3-8% (uncharged and charged). It is one of the farthest reaching Smash attacks. It has relatively low start up and ending lag. It deals vertical knock back.

Aerials

N-Air: Omni Slash
The Commander slashes forward with his/her Omni-Blade. It deals 9% damage and does horizontal knockback. A small amount of start up lag but can be short hopped.

F-Air: Front Drop Kick
The Commander performs a drop kick with both feet. It can be sweetspotted. It does 7% damage soutspotted, 13% sweetspotted and does horizontal knock back. It can be short hopped.

B-Air: Back Drop Kick
Basically a backward but stronger version of the F-air. It deals 10% soutspotted, 18% sweetspotted. However, it suffers from start up lag. It can be short hopped.

D-Air: M-5 Phalanx

Commander Shepard pulls out the M-5 Phalanx, aims, and shoots downward. It has a range of three Mario bodies underneat the Commander. It does 12% damage and can do a meteor smash it the bullet hits the opponent directly in the middle. It can spike opponents into the ground.

Others

Ledge Attack: Shoulder Bash
The Commander pulls himself up quickly and slams his/her shoulder into the opponent. Does 5% damage and horizontal knock back.
100% Ledge Attack: Omni Crush
The Commander slowly pulls him/herself up and slams the Omni-Blade into the opponent; dealing 12% damage and vertical knock back.

Floor Attack: 360 Leg Sweep
The Commander does a 360 leg sweep that trips opponents and deals 3% damage.

Throws

F-Throw: Shotgun Blast
The Commander pushes the opponent in front of him/her and then fires the M-11 Wraith into the opponent. It does 14% damage and is the Commanders strongest throw. Does vertical knock back.

B-Throw: Shoulder Heave
The Commander turns around and tosses the opponent over his/her shoulder. Does tow hits; the throw and the landing. Altogether, it does 8% damage and can spike players up.

U-Throw: Omni Stab
The Commander grabs the opponent, rams his/her Omni-Blade into the opponent and throws them back down. Does 6% damage and is a unrealiable killing move since it does not spike players up.

D-Throw: Head Splitter
The Commander takes the player, throws them on to the ground and curb stops them on the head. Does 5% damage and is the weakest throw. However, it does spike the player upwards.

Special B Move Set

Neutral B - Disruptor Ammo

The Commander will switch ammo and fire a Disruptor Round. It is strangely slow and remains on the field for 6 seconds but, as it travels. it automatically pushes opponents away. It does not damage though but is able to force opponent along its trajectory or toss them in the air. This is due to the fact it spins and it travels those making the knock back dependent on the opponents position relative to the ammo. It is also very damaging to shields and can quickly drain shields as it passes through. It suffers from relatively long start up lag but no ending lag. The higher the percentages, the more knock back it does.

Side B - Sticky Grenade
The Commander can throw a grenade that can stick to any surface or opponent or even an AT or Pokemon. Within 5 seconds, it will explode. Much like the Frag Grenade, the Commander can cook it; charging it to throw it farther. It does not bounce though and will stick to the surface. If a player walks by it before it explodes, it will explode due to proximity. This (and other grenades) can damage the Commander as well. It does 20% damage and vertical knock back. It does not having any start up or ending lag to speak of. It is a very reliable killing attack that can OHKO under 40% damage.

Up B - AI Hacking
The Commander will press a button on his/her armor and the image of the Commander will momentarily glitch up. This glitch can cause 15% damage and vertical damage plus a electrical effect. Depending where the player tilts the analog stick, the Commander will again glitch back into the screen; appearing where the player directed them to go. This last glitch does 18% damage and has a higher amount of knock back compared to the previous. It has a rather far ranged, expanding more than half of Final Destination. However, it is unable to "glitch" through obstacles or stages. It suffers from long start up and ending lag but still is a pretty damaging and effective Up B. It can OHKo as low as 60%.

Down B - Tactical Cloak
The Commander will press a button and become invisible for a small amount of time. If the player is hit or attacks, he/she becomes visible. The Tacticcal Cloak is actually pretty finicky. It takes roughly a minute for it to fully recharge. Activating it prior to it fully recharging greatly diminishes the the time the cloak can be active. Fully charged, it lasts for 15 seconds. With a very low charge, 3 seconds. This duration is not counted for the start up and ending lag which both take 3 seconds. In addition, constantly activating the cloak will cause it to be damaging thus resulting it breaking and banning the ability to use it. As mentioned earlier, attack or getting hit will instantly short circuit it causing the Commander to reappear. In addition, shielding, doing a Final Smash, or throwing or using an Item including Pokeballs and ATs will result in the Commander appearing.

Dash: Rolling Cover
Commander Shepard will leap forward, curl, and roll into the opponent; knocking them up into the air. It does 4-8% damage; depending on the momentum. However, it is unique since the player can then crouch behind a obstacle or a wall for cover if they roll into a wall. Moving away will cause the Commander to get back up.

The Commander will activate his/her armor shield thus electrocuting the opponent, knocking them upwards. It does 10% damage. it is a great sneak attack and has zero start up or ending lag, However, it can only hits from the back. It does more damage than the Soldier due to the tech armor the Infilytrator possesses.

D- Tilt: Head Stomp
The Commander will take his foot and slam it forward; knocking opponents upwards. It does 6% damage. It has a little start up and ending lag. It has a short reeach and only affects players who are lower than the Commanders abdomen. The hit box is located on the bottom of the Commanders boot and will spike players up if it connects. Overall, it is a powerful attack but with short reach.

Smash Attacks

Side Smash: M-19 Mantis

The Commander will pull out the M-92 Mantis. The Commander will them aim and fire the powerful rifle. It only delivers one fast but powerful bullet. It has a very long range; able to reach shotly more than half of FD stage. It packs a punch. It does between 12-18% damage but it has a high amount of vertical knock back if it hits. However, do the precise nature of the attack, the hit box is very small and moves fast. The Commander pulls out the sniper rifle and aims so it has a slightly start up lag.

Up Smash: M-11 Suppressor

The Commander aims the M-11 Suppressor and fires it into the air. It does 6-13% and is one of the wekest smash attacks. Howeverm the bullet itself is silenced those making it a rather decietful attack. It does vertical knockback. It does not have any start up or ending lag since the Commander is seen holding the gun. The bullets reaches four Mario bodies away.

Down Smash: M-4 Shuriken

The Commander pulls ou the M-4 Shuriken. He turns on his knee thus firing in boyh sides. The attack is capable of hitting three times on both sides, dealing 10-18% damage on both sides. However, it is impossible to hit the smae character on both sides. The bullets reach about 3 Mario bodies away. It has very low knock back.[/

Aerials

N-Air: Omni Slash
The Commander slashes forward with his/her Omni-Blade. It deals 5% damage and does horizontal knockback. A small amount of start up lag but can be short hopped.

F-Air: Front Drop Kick
The Commander performs a drop kick with both feet. It can be sweetspotted. It does 7% damage soutspotted, 11% sweetspotted and does horizontal knock back. It can be short hopped.

B-Air: Back Drop Kick
Basically a backward but stronger version of the F-air. It deals 10% soutspotted, 17% sweetspotted. However, it suffers from start up lag. It can be short hopped.

D-Air: Omni-Blade Spike
The Commander slams his/her Omni-Blade below him/her. It can spike players downward for a KO. It does 8% if sourtspotted, 15% sweetspotted if the attack hits the very tip of the Omni-Blade. It cannot be short hopped due to start up and ending lag.

Others

Ledge Attack: Shoulder Bash
The Commander pulls himself up quickly and slams his/her shoulder into the opponent. Does 4% damage and horizontal knock back.

The Commander will grab the opponent, choke them out, and lay them to the ground. It does 4% damage but no knock back.

B-Throw: Neck Breaker
The Commander will karate chop the back of the opponents neck and then toss them backwards. It does 7% damage and horizontal knock back.

U-Throw: Omni Stab
The Commander grabs the opponent, rams his/her Omni-Blade into the opponent and throws them back down. Does 5% damage and is a unrealiable killing move since it does not spike players up.

D-Throw: Painful Ending
The Commander will knock down the opponent and slam a fist into them. It can spike opponents up and does 12% damage, his/her most damaging throw.

Adept

Special B Move Set

Neutral B - Warp
The Commander will launch the Warp forward. It will travel about four Mario models away and stay for five seconds before vanishing. It will deal damage but does not deal knockback meaning it will not launch players away. However, for every second standing near the biotic ability, it deals 5% damage. The launching phase is about three seconds followed by a five second time. Thus, it can do 40% damage over a 8 period time frame. Of course, this is only if the player is hit three times as the projectles moves forward. This is theoretical impossible since it does no known back. It is very useful for draining shields and causing large amounts of damage. While the Wrap is active, it can't be used again. It has a slightly ending lag as the power cools down.

Side B - Singularity
The Commander will throw a dark gravity sphere that draws matter to it. It has a vacuum radius for 3 Mario bodies. To draw an opponent into the sphere takes roughly two seconds so it is pretty fast. Struggling or having a lower percentage can slow down this time for four seconds. The gravity well itself lasts for 10 seconds before collapsing. When it traps an opponent, it deals damage until the collapse and does vertical knock back. If the gravity well captures an opponent right from the start, it does 35% damage while being captured two seconds before collapse does 10% damage. It is a fairly damaging attack and pretty lethal due to its vacuum ability. It can OHKO as low as 40%. It suffers from a long start up and ending lag.

Up B - Biotic Charge
The Commander will charge forward. The player can slightly alter the trajectory but it is at a rather horizontal line. It has terrible to almost nonexistent vertical movement thus making it a fairly weak and ineffective recovery move. However, it is still powerful and can deal 38% damage when it fully hits. However, when it comes into contact with an opponent, it stops the Commander dead in the air. He/she then enters a 2 second free fall and cane perform the Up B one more time. This can be either seen as a positive or negative consequence; depending on the situation. It has a long start up leg but a very low to no ending lag. When performed on the ground, it is very effective as an attack.

Down B - Shockwave
The Commander will throw a punishing shockwave from him/her. It slams into the ground four times before vanishing. It reaches about six Mario bodies but will stop at an obstacle or a ledge but will continue if it hits an opponent. It does 16% damage and will throw the opponent the way it is moving thus causing knock back. It does horizontal knock back and will do more knock back the higher the damage percentage. The attack has very good priority and can cancel out weaker attacks and projectiles. It will speed forth while performed in mid-air.

This attack is best used as a combo using the previous Neutral A attacks. It has a slightly ending lag.

F-Tilt: Biotic Push
The Commander steps pushes a biotic barrier forth; pushing away opponents with horizontal knock back and does 8% damage. A very quick attack without any lag and does a good amount of knock back. Low priority.

U-Tilt: Barrier
The Commander erects a barrier that electrocutes opponents who touches it. The barrier blasts for 3 seconds and knocks opponents upwards with 5% damage. It has a slight start up and ending lag.

D- Tilt: Biotic Wave
Commander Shepard will launch a downward biotic blast that pushes outward; two Mario bodies away. It is mostly focused on the ground and actually launches opponents upwards due to the last frame where the biotic mass slightly shoots upward. It does 9% damage.

Smash Attacks

Side Smash: Biotic Crush
The Commander releases a powerful forward Biotic push. It does 20-28% damage and high horizontal knock back.

Up Smash: Nova Crasher
Commander Shepard raises his/her palm and releases a biotic ball-like energy that rotates. It juggles the opponents for four hits and then launches them into the air. It does 25-33% damage.

Down Smash: Biotic Ring
Commander Shepard releases a blast that resembles a ring that can hit on both sides. It does 12-20% damage and horizontal knock back. It has a reach of 3 Mario bodies.

Aerials

N-Air: Omni Slash
The Commander slashes forward with his/her Omni-Blade. It deals 5% damage and does horizontal knock back. A small amount of start up lag but can be short hopped.

F-Air: Nova Palm
Much like his/her U-Smash but, instead, pushes the arms forward with the ball facing outward. Does high horizontal knock back and does 18% damage. It does not rotate like the U-Smash though and is significantly weaker.

B-Air: Planetary Energy
Commander Shepard waves one arm in the air while releasing biotic energy. It has a wide arcing hitbox and causes a freeze frame when it connects at the highest point. This also does a large amount of knock back. It does 10% sourspotted; 15 sweetspotted.

D-Air: Shooting Star
Commander Shepard releases a powerful Biotic blast that travels downward. It travels for about three mario bodies total. It does 14% damage and forces opponents downward as it travels but it is not a meteor strike or spike.

Others

Ledge Attack: Biotic Push
Commander Shepard pulls him/herself slowly up and slams a biotic fist into the opponent. Does 7% damage and horizontal knock back.

100% Ledge Attack: Biotic Storm
Commander Shepard pulls him/herself from the ledge and slams into the opponent with full biotic energy. It does 12% damage and knocks opponents into the air.

Floor Attack: Last Push
Commander Shepard overloads with biotic energy and releases it. It does 5% damage but above average vertical-horizontal knock back.

Throws

Throw: Pull
The Biotic Class for Commander Shepard is unique because the commander can grab an opponent three Mario bodies away quickly. The Commander then pulls the opponent to them and holds them in the air.

Pummel: Biotic Shock
Commander Shepard shocks the opponent with biotic energy. Does 4% damage. A very quick pummel.

F-Throw: Biotic Master
Commander Shepard holds the opponent int he air, brings them back, and then launches them forward; shooting them across the stage. It only does 5% damage but is has high horizontal knock back.

B-Throw: Pulverize
The Commander takes the opponent, slams them into the ground. As they bounce back up, he/she releases a powered biotic blast that sends them flying across the stage. Does 7% damage and horizontal knock back.

U-Throw: Rip
The Commander grabs the opponent, holds them over his/her head. The Commander then forms a energy ball around the opponent and grabs it; ripping it asunder. It causes a small biotic explosion that causes the opponent to fly up into the air. It does 9% damage and is the most damaging throw.

D-Throw: Star Crush
The Commander grabs the opponent, jumps into the air, and then slams them down while enveloped in biotic energy. It spikes the opponent up and does 6% damage.

Special B Move Set

Neutral B - Incinerate
The Commander will fire an explosive round from his/her Omni-Tool that detonates upon impact; crating a large blast radius and burning effect. It can be charged for maximal damage and does between 13-22% damage. However, if the attack is charged too long, the Omni-Tool was malfunction and burn the layer. It has very high vertical knock back and overall a great attack - basically a projectile version of Ike's Neutral B. However, charging it further will cause it to move slower than a uncharged. It will travel for 5 seconds total and will explode once it hits a target, the ground, a object, or anything else that is solid. It has a slow start up lag but no ending lag.

Side B - Combat Drone
The Commander will place a Combat Drone onto the ground. It will activate and begin moving independently though it will at times follow the Commander. When it finds an opponent, it will begin to shock them with an electrical rod. It does 4% damage each strike plus a electrical effect. It does hit stun and a small amount of knock back. The Combat Drone does have some health but it can be destroyed. However, if its timer runs out, it will start to blink red quickly and then explode; causing 13% damage to those close by an vertical knock back. It generally lasts for 14 seconds. There is a slight start up and ending lag to the attack. the Commander can only place one on the field. If another is placed, the other vanishes without an explosion.

Up B - Overload

The Commander will press a button on his/her Omni-Tool. The Commander will begin to glow and then releases a sudden impulse that fires from him/her. The pulse is enough to shoot the Engineer high into the air. It does no damage to anyone but it causes opponents to become dazed for 5 seconds or enter into a free fall if performed in mid-air. The radius itself can hit upon all sides and has a radius of two and half Mario bodies. The attack will boost the Engineer up at a diagonal slant. Interestingly, it is a pretty good recovery move despite its odd appearance.

Down B - Sentry Turret
The Commander will erect a Sentry Turret that is about half the size of him/her. It will detect any hostile presences and immediately open fire of them. It has a high rate of fire and does not run out of ammo. It does a very small amount of hit stun but does not actual knock back. Think of Falco's lasers but more weaker. It does 2% damage each hit but, within 6 seconds, it can score up to 8 hits thus incurring 16% damage. The Sentry Turret lasts for around 15\2 seconds. It is a great guarding and zoning attack. However, it will jam up if it continues to shoot. It can be destroyed like the Combat Drone however, if its timer runs out, it will not explode like the Combat Drone. As well, unlike the Combat Drone, instead of phasing away, the destroyed Sentry Gun parts can be used to throw at opponents. The Commander can place another Sentry Turret but the other will fall to pieces immediately.

U-Tilt: Sentry Armor
Commander Shepard will activate a special function on his/her armor. A missile will shoot upwards with a height of one Mario body and explode; dealing vertical knock back and 14% damage. It is one of the better tilts and can take opponents entirely surprise since it has low frame lag.

D- Tilt: Grenade Bot
The Commander will lay down a grenade bot that will walk forward. It is a fairly long tilt, lasting 10 seconds but, after the initial deployment, the Commander is free to move. The Commander will lay down the bot and it will activate itself. It will then move around in circles; a radius of four Mario bodies until it explodes 5 seconds later or someone touches it. It does 17% damage and vertical knockback.

Smash Attacks

Side Smash: Arc Projector

Commander Shepard will pull out the Arc Projector. It can be charged for maximal damage. It is a very unique weapon. A uncharged blast does 10% damage to the opponent but it only shocks the opponent it hits. However, a half charged shot will do 8% damage but to one additional character if they are within range (roughly 6 Mario bodies). Finally, a fully charged shot does 6% damage to three opponents total if they are within range of each other. The lightning strikes the opponents and connects itself to a nearby opponent thus creating a lag. It is a fairly quick attack but opponents are able to escape the incoming chain shock. It will electrocute the opponents and then deal vertical knock back. The Commander holds this gun as a Engineer.

Up Smash: M-96 Mattock

Commander Shepard will point the M-96 Mattock into the air and squeeze off one round. It has a very powerful bullet that will stop opponents in their tracks. It has a very long distance of fire; roughly 10 Mario bodies away though the damage is considerably less. When hit by the bullet, the opponent experiences a free frame and then is launched up vertically. It has a very strong punch and can easily knock items out of opponents hands. It does 20-30% damage while further away does 12-22% damage which is still a powerful attack. It is a slower bullet with, interestingly enough, a large hit box.

Down Smash: M-77 Paladin

Commander Shepard will pull out the M-77 Paladin and fire downwards at the opponents feet. It causes the opponents to trip and do 12-20% damage; by far the weakest Smash for the Engineer. However, its trajectory can be fairly hard to precise for both the player and the opponent. It is a very quick attack with small start up but no ending lag thus allowing the player to deal damage while they are tripped.

It does 9% damage soutspotted, 15% sweetspotted and does horizontal knock back. It can be short hopped.

B-Air: Back Drop Kick
Basically a backward but stronger version of the F-air. It deals 13% soutspotted, 20% sweetspotted. However, it suffers from start up lag. It can be short hopped.

D-Air: Electro Boot
The Commander will stretch down; kicking both feet downward. The Engineer the ignites an electrical current in the boots that blast downward. It can do a meteor spike but does not add more damage. The opponent is also slammed with an electrical effect upon being hit. It does 12% damage,

Others

Ledge Attack: Shoulder Bash
The Commander pulls himself up quickly and slams his/her shoulder into the opponent. Does 6% damage and horizontal knock back.

100% Ledge Attack: Omni Crush
The Commander slowly pulls him/herself up and slams the Omni-Blade into the opponent; dealing 10% damage and vertical knockback.

Floor Attack: 360 Leg Sweep
The Commander does a 360 leg sweep that trips opponents and deals 4% damage.

Throws

F-Throw: N7 Grapple
The Commander grabs the opponent, rushes them forward, flips over them while bringing them up and tosses them forward over him/her. It does 10% and horizontal-vertical knock back. A rather long throw.

B-Throw: Device Disposal
The Commander places a explosive device on the opponent and throws them backwards. Three seconds after the throw. the device explodes doing 15% damage and vertical knock back - the strongest throw for all Classes.

U-Throw: Crane Sentry
The Commander will deploy a Crane Sentry that grabs the opponent and throws it upwards. It has two prong-like handles that grabs the opponents. The grab does 3% damage and the throw does 6%. It has a high vertical knock back.

D-Throw: Head Splitter
The Commander takes the player, throws them on to the ground and curb stops them on the head. Does 7% damage and is the weakest throw. However, it does spike the player upwards.

[collapse=Final Smash]
Final Smash: Fate of the Galaxy

Command Shepard was always faced with the hard decisions that not only affected the lives of millions but also the outcome of the game. I wanted to incorporate this into Smash Bros. in some way and I felt the best way was through a final smash - one that offers choices.
After gaining the Smash Ball, the camera will quickly focus on Commander Shepard while pausing combat. A radial dial will appear near the bottom of the screen. The player has a choice between three different options:

1) Destroy: When Commander Shepard chooses destroy, he/she calls in a global bombardment of the area. Much like Lucas' Final Smash, bomb descending onto the stage; blasting and exploding. Each bomb does 20% and can OHKO as low as 45%. A particular effective attack. This Final Smash lasts around 12 seconds.

2) Control: When Commander Shepard chooses Control, a Reaper he has taken control of appears in the background. Pressing A will cause it to fire a destructive Reaper beam that blasts through the stage; dealing 15% damage for every hit it does. Once it makes contact, it causes hit stun thus allowing the attack to hit multiple times. Once the beam leaves the opponents area of damage, it does vertical knock back. The player can control the direction of the beam. This Final Smash lasts for 12 seconds.

3) Synthesis: Commander Shepard begins to glow green and erects a biotic-barrier like object. Anyone who enters into this area (roughly the size of a full Smart Bobomb explosion) instantly becomes condensed into energy and feeds into the area; healing Commander Shepard. Commander Shepard can move around at this time. The Final Smash lasts for around 15 minutes total.[/collapse]

REPORT: MASS EFFECT CONTENT

This following report is a collection of various Mass Effect content that could be implemented into Super Smash Bros.

[collapse=Mass Effect Stage]STAGE: NORMANDY SR-2

The Normandy SR-2is the successor of the original Normandy, the SSV Normandy SR-1 which is destroyed in the opening cinematic of Mass Effect 2. It is a massive ship with the latest technology built into its systems thus making it one of the most technologically advanced star ship in the galaxy. It can achieve faster than light speeds (FTL), has powerful kinetic barriers, GARDIAN point defense lasers, advanced Javelin disruptor torpedoes, and, its most prized asset, the IES (internal emission sink) stealth system that stores heat within great heat sinks in the ship thus wiping away any heat signatures from radars. This allows the ship to fly in silence and without emitting heat. It has proved useful in many missions.

The Normandy SR-2 is pretty unrealistic and grandiose in its design, attempting to capture the feel of Mass Effect 3 and the franchise as a whole. In all honestly, I doubt we could ever get this even if Mass Effect did appear in SSB4. I would imagine the stage being a bit more toned down. However, this is the stage I would like to see represent Mass Effect.

The stage first starts off here in the Combat Information Center (C.I.C.). Players fight on the large platform erected in the middle of the room. It has a flat surface though at the end, the start chart is visible and projects the galaxy on it. Lights are dimmed and shift from red to blue. Players can walk off from the stage but are unable to fall off it nor a star KO. After 40 seconds, the table (minus the star chart), elevates itself up to the top of the ship and changes.

Timing: Forty Seconds
Music: New Worlds
Hazards: None

Players find themselves fighting on top of the Normandy and in the docking station the Citadel, the center of the galaxy and a large space station that houses the Council and many intergalactic species. The background is taking from the docking platform in Mass effect 3. Various announcements can be heard on the speakers as well as ships traveling to and fro. On the docking lounge, humans, Turians, Salarians, Asari, and Krogan can be seen walking around along with Keepers. Following 30 seconds of no stage movement, the Normandy leaves the docking platform and flies away from the Citadel and enters into FTL mode.

FTL Mode

Timing: Forty Seconds
Music: The Citadel
Hazards: None

5 seconds later, the Normandy arrives slightly above the moon Menae and its planet, Palaven, home of the Turians. The player can see Turians forces fighting on the moon against Husks, Mauaraders, and the gigantic Reapers. In the distant, the planet of Palaven is burning with Turian and Reaper forces locked in battle. Fifteen seconds in, the Normandy sirens sound off and the stage the players are on suddenly levitates from the Normandy and drops them onto the moons surface.

The stage has one earthen hill to the left, a down Turian spaceship that is centered in the middle. Players can walk right underneath it but also serves as a platform for players. On the right is a Turian barricade that leads right to a cliff. It has no walk-off sides. In the background, a Reaper killing Turian forces can be seen in the background. However, watching the scene unfold is not a luxury since as soon as the stage descends, it is overrun by the horrific Husks, a combination of Human and Reaper technology. The Husks will run into the stage and begin attacking opponents. A Husk can do 4% damage for every attack or can tackle the opponent for an additional 12% damage. They can be taken out by two uncharged Smash attacks or one uncharged smash attacks or a strong aerial. Finally, two corrupted Turians named Mauaraders will appear and fire on the enemy. They can deal 4% damage with every shot. However, they are unkillable as they are seen from a distance. 20 seconds after the appear, the Normandy sirens sound off and the stage levitates yet again onto a docked Normandy. Five seconds after landing, the ship engages in FTL mode for eight seconds and arrives at its new destination: Tuchanka.

Timing: 65 seconds
Music: View of Palaven
Hazards: Husks and Marauders

The Normandy will fly into Tuchanka and flies towards the Shroud. However, a lone Reaper can be found guarding it. Krogan forces can be seen attacking the Reaper in force. The Normandy's sirens will sound off and the stage will again levitate and land in full view of the Reaper 10 seconds after leaving FTL mode . The stage appears as this:

It is a walk-off stage. In the background, on either side are two large blocks that are platforms. Additionally, there is another platform in the middle but made of solid stone thus cannot be passed through. The stage appears crumbling and in ruins. In the background, the Reaper can be seen guarding the Shroud. However, the eye will start to glow red and an ALERT sign will appear on the screen. The Reaper will fire the laser into the stage; damaging opponents with 25% damage and can OHKo as low as 30%. It goes on for 50 seconds until a Thresher Maw, a gigantic sand worm, erupts in the background; tackles the Reaper and destroys it. The stage then levitates and lands back onto the Normandy which engages yet again into FTL mode for eight seconds. The Normandy than arrives back at the Citadel but in a much different circumstance.

Timing: 65 seconds
Music: A Future for the Krogan
Hazards: The Reaper

The Citadel is in ruins and Cerberus troops are everywhere. The Normandy, much like before, will cause the main stage to levitate and land it on a surface. This surface is on one of the elongated walkways of the Presidium Commons. The middle section has been blown away much like on the Bridge of Eldin in SSBB. In the background, C-Sec officials and Cerberus forces are in full battle. Twenty seconds, into the stage; several Cerberus Troopers will land into the stage. They will fire at opponents or attempt to melee attack them. They are fairly weak though and can be dealt with much like on Manae; a uncharged or charged Smash attack. They can deal around 5% damage or 8% damage. After 20 seconds of them appearing, a Phantom appears and begins attacking opponents with lightning fast attacks. This opponent is slightly stronger and can be dispatched after three charged smash attacks. It can deal around 15% damage each strike. After twenty seconds, the stage begins to levitate and the Phantom, if not killed, will leave. The stage will then levitate and enter into an eight second FTL mode and arrives at Rannoch, the lost home world of the Quarians.

Timing: 68 Seconds
Music: A Cerberus Plot
Hazards: Cerberus Centurions and Phantoms

Rannoch is under siege by the Geth. The Normandy flies in, drops off the stage and flies away. The stage floats on the chasm in the Reapers Base. In the background, the beautiful rock formations and the sun are a striking comparison the the industrial and mechanical architecture of the Reaper base. Twenty seconds after landing, a Geth Dropship begins to fire onto the stage; dealing 20% damage for each strike. It has a high blast radius and continues off and on for forty minutes. The Normandy then arrives; grabs the platform which then moves back onto the top the Normandy. The Normandy than takes off into FTL mode to its next destination.

Timing: 65 seconds.
Music: Rannoch
Hazards: Geth Dropship

The next destination goes to the Asari homeworld, Thessia. The Normandy flies in and drops the stage onto the top of an Asari dome. It is a pretty straight forward stage without any platforms or blocks but it is long and slopes downward. In the background, Reaper forces can be seen as well as flying Harvesters. 20 seconds in to the stage though, Two Brutes will come thundering into the stage. These behemoths are very powerful and can cripple opponents. They can do 18% damage for each strike. They can be KOd but it takes a large amount of attacks. They are slow though so it is easy to avoid their slower attacks. However, if they are not KO'd in 25 seconds, they will roar and vanish. Suddenly, a Banshee appears and begins throwing powerful Biotic attacks with high knock back. It can deal 25% damage for each biotic attack and quickly KO opponents. The Banshee cannot be KOd and will vanish after twenty seconds in which the stage will again levitate and rejoin the ship. The Normandy will then again FTL out of Thessia and head to the Cerberus Headquarters.

Timing: 65 Seconds
Music: Prothean Beacon
Hazards: Brutes and a Banshee

The Normandy will stay in FTL for 8 seconds and arrive at the Cerberus Headquarters. It will hover above the space station for a few seconds in which the stage will levitate and descend into the main room for the Illusive Man. It cannot do start KOs or side KOs however opponents can fall down off the stage for a KO.
The Stage appears a flat space raised up from dark shadows below. Outside, the Systems Alliance and Cerberus are fighting out in space. In the distance, a hologram of the Illusive Man is able to be seen. Suddenly, the Illusive Man's right hand man, Kai Lend, will appear and begins to attack opponents. He can do a combination of biotic and sword attacks that vary between 15-30% damage and can be very damaging. He can be damaged but he cannot be KO'd. This fight goes on for thirty seconds in which the stage will complete fall down into the shadows and the players will be transported back to the Normandy via levitating stage. The Normandy will then engage into FTL and head for its final destination, Earth.

Timing: 55 seconds
Music: A Cerberus Agent
Hazards: Kai Leng

The Normandy will be in FTL for ten seconds and arrive at Earth. Below, destruction and chaos can be seen everywhere; Humans, Turians, Asari, Salarians, Quarians, and Geth are fighting the Reapers forces. The stage does a twenty second fly by and then sets itself onto the ground. The stage is a maze of destroyed buildings. The left side has a crumbling building that has a rampart of dirt leading to the second story. The middle section has a half destroyed house on fire and the right side has a dilapidated tank. The right side is a walk-off.

Twenty seconds into the stage, Marauders, Husks, and Cannibals emerge and attack the players. Like before, the Husks and Marauders do the same amount of damage and the Cannibals does 5% damage for every shot. After 25 seconds, they vanish and a Brute and a Banshee appear. They have the same amount of properties as before as well. They will last for another 25 seconds. After that, the Normandy will fly by and pick up the players into the ship to the final destination.

Timing: 96 seconds
Music: I'm Sorry
Hazards: Husks, cannibals. Marauders, Brutes, Banshee

The Normandy will ascend through Earth's atmosphere and arrive in Earth's space. Everywhere, the united races and reapers forces fight while the Citadel is in the back ground. The fight rages on and on. At this point, the stage no longer changes and the stage is situated on top of the Normandy.

Music: The Fate of the Galaxy

Total Length: 559 seconds (9 minutes, 30 seconds)

In case you are confused, here is the order of phases.

Phase 1: Command Information Center
Phase 2: Citadel Docking Bay
Phase 3: Menae
Phase 4: Tuchanka
Phase 5: Citadel, Presidium Commons
Phase 6: Rannoch
Phase 7: Thessia
Phase 8: Cerberus Headquarters
Phase 9: Earth
Phase 10: Earth Space

Now, I know this seems like a extremely complex and confusing stage with a lot of moving around and too much action. Therefore, as a less confusing and complex proposition, I would like to propose a alternative to the above mentioned stage.

The stage would still be the Normandy SR-2 and will still keeps the same order of destination MINUS the stage levitating to the ground and the fight being there. Instead, the Normandy will slightly hover int he air much like how does when the Normandy first enters the area as I previously wrote. The exception being the Cerberus Headquarters being situated in the middle of the battle between the two.
It would follow the same order as mentioned above but without moving the actual stage. However, the hazards would be much like before with various Reaper, Cerberus, and Geth troops attacking players.[/collapse]

[collapse=Assist Trophy]
DISTRESS BEACON: ASSIST TROPHY

I had trouble trying to figure out the best Assist Trophy to represent the Mass effect series. The thing is, while the main character is obviously Commander Shepard, it doe snot have a strong secondary character. Therefore, I toyed around with making one of the squad mates such as Garrus or Liara an assist trophy, the Illusive Man, Kai Leng, a Husk or other Reaper forces, Captain Anderson, the Normandy (prior to making it a stage), and even a Reaper. However, I wanted to capture one particular aspect of Mass Effect and that is the squad. I was partially motivated by the Citadel DLC where, aside from the squad you pick, you have two other squads helping you on the sidelines. Therefore, instead of just picking one squad member, I decided to create a 3 person squad team to act as a Assist Trophy. Therefore, Squad Mates.

Chosen randomly, a three person squad will appear where the PKMN trainer usually is and fire upon the opponents. Each shot does 6% and provides hitstun. It is an effective At with excellent range and precision.

The following squad mates can be:
Garrus Valkarian
Liara T'Soni
James Vega
EDI
Tali7zorah vas Rahyyr
Kaiden Alenko/Ashley Williams
Samara
Legion
Grunt
Jack
Miranda Lawson
Jacob Taylor
Mordin Solus
This at, The Squad, lasts for one minute and will run back and forth; providing cover fire. They will also show comments like:

Fate of the Galaxy
Unlock: Clear All-star Mode as Commander Shepard (male/female)
Commander Shepard has the hardest mission of all: making decisions. The Commanders decisions not only affect the team but the universe as a whole. A single decision can alter the fate of the galaxy and everything hinges on the Commanders ability to predict and evaluate the best course of action. Of course, the Commanders decision may not always be the most popular decision. But with a strong will and disciplined mind set, the Commander makes those decisions so that others don't have to.

Soldier
Unlock: Collect both the Commander Shepard (m/f) and the Fate of the Galaxy Trophies
The Soldier is a disciplined class that utilizes various types of ammo and offensive abilities to tear into opponents. The Solider is the most balanced class in terms of power and defense; putting the hurt on enemies and taking a lot of damage. The Incendiary/Cyro Ammo can both burn and freeze opponents while the Drag Grenade can stop an opponent in their tracks by sending a blast of shrapnel their way. The Solider is definitely fitted to put the pressure on the enemy and push forward to the goal.

Infiltrator
Unlock: Collect both the Commander Shepard (m/f) and the Fate of the Galaxy Trophies
The Infiltrator values speed over offense and defense; relying rather on technology and precise movements to destroy the enemy. Infiltrators specialize in stealth weapons and technology; implying the tactical cloak to avoid detection and hacking into systems to cover their tracks. Infiltrators can throw Sticky Grenades and Disruptor Ammo for crowd control and altering the battlefield to how they want it. The Infiltrator is the ghost that no one sees but leaves the dirty work for those to find.

Adept
Unlock: Unlock: Collect both the Commander Shepard (m/f) and the Fate of the Galaxy Trophies
The Adept is a unique individual who is able to wield mass effect fields. They can employ powerful barriers, dangerous gravity fields, or rip enemies apart with mass effect fields. Small doses of Element Zero can cause natural biotics or implants can be installed in order to harness the power of biotics. Adepts can create vast gravity wells to draw in opponents, use mass effect fields to pull an opponent to them or vice-versa, throwing them away into a wall. Adepts a powerful individuals that can lay waste to an entire battlefield without breaking a sweat.

Engineer
Unlock: Collect both the Commander Shepard (m/f) and the Fate of the Galaxy Trophies
The Engineer can construct powerful and helpful allies to aid him or her in the battle. The Engineer, while a bit slow, is a powerful fighter that can control the battlefield and sets the rules. An Engineer can create drones to harass and put the hurt on opponents while the Engineer remains at a safe distance, create sentry turrets, or even burn the opponent with Incinerate. While the Engineer might not seem as strong as the Soldier, quick as the Infiltrator, or imposing as the Biotic; the Engineer is a threat to be recognized on the battlefield.

The Galaxies Races 1
Unlock: Random
The Milky Way is home to a wide range of races that have, in some way, contributed to the advancement of the Galaxy. Now, these races are on the brink of extinction due to the Reaper invasions.
The Asari were the first to discover the Citadel and occupy it. The Asari's influenced can be felt throughout the entire Milky Way and they have contributed much to its politics, arts and entertainment, and warfare. Most Asari are biotic in nature and can live long lifespans - some even living for several centuries. The Salarians were the second to find the Citadel and make contact with the Asari. The Salarians, on the other hand, have short life spans due to a high metabolism rate. Salarians rely on logic and intellectual pursuits and adhere to the philosophy of "knowing your enemy before attacking." Turians are a militaristic and highly regimented race that were brought into the Galactic stage to end the Korgan Rebellions. Since then, the Turians has proved to be a loyal and model race in the galaxy. Turians excel in policing and militaristic engagements - often focusing on destroying opponents with a large array of attacks. Finally, Humans have just recently entered the galactic stage after a brief war with the Turians. Humans are sometimes viewed as aggressors or, at times, unfit for their sudden limelight. While some races have waited for Council recognition for centuries, Humans have received in a relatively short amount of time.

The Galaxies Races 2
Unlock: Random
The Milky Way is home to a wide range of races that have, in some way, contributed to the advancement of the Galaxy. Now, these races are on the brink of extinction due to the Reaper invasions.
The Quarians are an exiled race that fly through the cosmos with the Migrant Fleet, a massive fleet consisting of fifty thousand star ships and home ships. The Quarians were exiled after creating the Geth who turned on their masters after their survival instincts took over. The Quarians are knowledgeable in technology and A.I. systems. They wish to return home. Krograns are a disgraced race who, after destroying a hostile race named, attempted to take over the galaxy. This was the start of the Krogan Rebellions. These Rebellions ended when the Turians and Salarians devised a pathogen that caused all Krogan males to become sterile. The Krogans now reside on Tuchanka; scrapping out an existence in many illegal occupations. The Batarians are a race that focuses largely on the slave trade. The Batarians have a rivalry with Humans and view them as a blight on the galaxy. This is due to the Humans encroaching on Batarian space and colony worlds. Keepers are a insectoid-race that reside in the Citadel. To this day, it is unsure what or who they are and any attempt to communicate with them proves fruitless. Touching them results in the Keeper dying. However, the Keepers repair and expand the Citadel with a limitless amount of resources.

The Illusive Man

The Illusive Man is the enigmatic and mysterious leader of Cerberus, a pro-Human, anti-Alien activist group. Intelligence and information is his weapon and utilizes it to the fullest. He firmly believes that in order to destroy the Reapers, humanity must learn to control them. However, this has led to the Illusive Man to splice humans with Reaper technology thus creating soldiers at the expense of their humanity. The Illusive Man does not seem to be bothered by the crimes he or his organization commits and feels the ends justifies the means.

Cerberus

Geth

The Geth are a race of networked A.I. that were created by the Quarians. Fearing that the Geth had obtained artificial intelligence, they attempted to destroy the Geth. However, the Geth fought back in order to survive, drove the Quarian race out of Rannoch, and secluded themselves within the Rannoch system. For centuries, there has been a cold war between the two races. The Geth were instruments used by Saren Arterius and the Reaper, Sovereign, and attacked the Citadel. After the defeat of Soverign, the Geth became segmented between assisting the old machines (the Reapers) and opposing them. However, before they could come to a consensus, the Quarians launched a massive assault that drove the Geth to assist with the Reapers in order to ensure thier survival.

The Geth units comprise of the light Geth Trooper, the highly destructive Geth Rocket Trooper, the Geth Pyro, the stealthy and deadly Geth Hunter, and the massive Geth Prime. All are powerful enemies that possess advanced analytical and fighting skills.

Reaper Forces
Unlock: Play on Normandy SR-2 15 times
The Reapers harvests the galactic races and, in order to rage war against the inhabitants, releases these monstrosities against them. Not only deadly and powerful, it creates a psychological impact on those who are fighting to survive. These forces appear much like their host race but twisted; converting organic tissues and organs into cybernetic materials.

The Husks will attack with melee and biting attacks and are the most encountered. They were previously human. The Cannibals will devour fallen allies and enemies to strengthen themselves. They are a mix of Humans and Batarians. The Marauders command the Reaper forces and possess a high level of militaristic strategy. They were originally Turian. The Brute is hulking savage that has a strong, thick hide and performs charging melee attacks. They are a mixture of Krogan and Turian. The The Harvester is a air-borne transport that can perform powerful laser attacks. Finally, the Banshee is a powerful and deadly biotic reaper force that can teleport within an area and unleash deadly screams. They were originally Asari.

Reapers
Unlock: Play on the Normandy SR-2 stage 10 times.
Reapers are a race of ancient synthetic-organic star ships that reside in dark space for thousands of centuries. When they deem the time right, they invade the Milky Way to harvest and collect the DNA of the advanced races. This is usually when many of the galactic races achieve faster-than-light travel and reached the pinnacle of thier evolution. This genocide is carried out to pave the way of lesser, infant races. In order to "lead" these races into their per-selected evolutions, the Reapers created the Citadel, Mass Relay stations, and faster-than-light travel. Reapers are powerful constructs that possess a high-powered beam cannon and can transport smaller Reaper-starships. A high barrage of firepower can bring down a Reaper but this is extremely difficult. It took the entire Quarian Migrant Fleet to bring down a smaller Reaper. Several notable reapers includes the first Reaper encountered, Sovereign and the leader of the Reapers, Harbinger.

Normandy SR-2
The Normandy SR-2 is the spiritual successor of the SR-1. Built by Cerberus after the the first was destroyed, Commander Shepard returned to pilot this ship. It has cutting edge and experiential technology such as a the IES (internal emission sink) to remain in stealth mode for days, the Tantalus Drive Core, four Antiproton Thrusters for maximum speed, GARDIAN Lasers, Kinetic Barriers, Thanix Cannon, and Javelin Disruptor Torpedoes. The ship can also fit a 40 person crew comfortably with amenities such as a kitchen and bar. It is the most advanced and recognizable ship int he Alliance fleet.

Palaven and Menae
Unlock: Random

Palaven is the home world for the Turian race. Due to the planets weak magnetic fields, it is unable to shield itself from the radiation from it's sun. Therefore, most animal life on the planet formed metallic carapaces to protect themselves. The Turians are not exception; having a hard, almost metallic body. Turian cities are often heavily fortified and on strategic positions instead of scenic routes. Palaven has been hit hard by the Reapers and reduced the planet to inhospitable conditions; reducing food and water supplies to zero but, still, the Turians fight on.

Menae is Palaven's moon and holds top secret information and technology. The Reaper invasion has been carried over to the moon and the Turians have fought bravely. The moon is often held in wonder by young Turians for the secrets it keeps.

Thuchunka
Unlock: random

Tuchanka is the in hospital world of the Krogans. Due to centuries of civil war, in-fighting, and nuclear fallout, the once beautiful planet was reduced to ash and dust. Many Krogans have been reduced to war clans that find shelter is the various ruins and underground labyrinths. Due to the planet's sun, the ground temperature is significantly higher than other planets. In addition, noxious fumes and poisonous gases are often abundant not to mention waring clans and viscous creatures makes vacationing at this planet a very bad idea.

INCOMING TRANSMISSION: CODEX MESSAGES

Much like Snake in the stage, Shadow Moses Island, codecs can be accessed by Commander Shepard quickly pressing the down taunt button. Mass Effect is known for the conversations between squad mates and Commander Shepard and that is something I would like to see implemented if Mass Effect would ever be included into Smash Bros.

Here are a list of codecs for confirmed characters and unconfirmed veterans. I may expand to unconfirmed newcomers but I haven't decided yet.

For Mario
Commander Shepard: Here I am out saving the galaxy and this guy is saving a princess.
Joker: Commander, you should knock on Mario, man. He is a cultural icon! To this day, his games still remain popular. Even the Turians and Asari have adapted the plumber into thier own culture. I used to play Mario back in Arcterus Station back when I was bed ridden as a kid. Good memories.
Commander Shepard: If all I had to do was jump and throw fireballs to win; the Reapers would long be dead now. Maybe I can recruit him...
Joker: I doubt it, Commander. Mario's is true to his gal if you get what I am saying. I think he gets all of that power when his princess and friends are in danger.
Commander Shepard: .....I can relate.
Joker: What was that, Commander?
Commander Shepard: Nothing, Joker.
Joker: I see. Well, you should be fine just avoiding those fireballs and jump attacks. Oh and he can fire water from a device on his back.
Commander Shepard: Fire and water, eh? Duly noted. Shepard, over and out.

For Link
Garrus:I tell you, Hylians are a stough breed. This warrior really knows how to wield a sword and shield.
Commannder Shepard: Yeah, I have been trying to avoid his quick sword attacks. Any advice, Garrus?
Garrus: Don't die.
Commander Shepard: Well, I don't plan on dying here at any rate.
Garrus: Yeah, you gotta save fight for the Reapers. Just watch out for those bombs, arrows, and boomerangs, Primitive techniques and weapons but still deadly in the hands of an expert.
Commander Shepard: I bet you two would get along very fine, then.
Garrus: You flatter me, Shepard. Watch out for his weapons and technical prowness. If I could have a chance to duel with him, well, that would be a great story to tell down the road.
Commander Shepard: I don't suppose to can come down and land a hand, Garrus?
Garrus: Sorry, Shepard. I would but, well, I am busy with...calibrations.
Commander Shepard: I should have known.

For Kirby
Commander Shepard: What the... is this a new form of Husk or something entirely different.
Tali: No, Shepard. That's Kirby, a denizen of Popland. He is a hero on his world.
Commander Shepard: A hero you say. It doesn't look much like one.
Tali: I believe their is a saying on Earth "Never judge a book by its cover." Kirby can swallow you whole and copy your abilities to use against you. He can adapt himself to any situation.
Commander Shepard: I see. Well, I can't say I have fought with a foe that can copy my abilities.
Tali: Oh, they are out there somewhere in the universe.
Commander Shepard: Yeah, but right now I gotta fight a pink ball. Seems sort of ridiculous after fighting humongous Reapers.
Tali: Hey, Commander. I kind of have a soft spot for cuddly and furry things. If you could grab Kirby and bring him back to my quarters, I would be extremely happening.
Commander Shepard: Sorry, Tali but not happening.
Tali: But you have fish...and a space hamster...
Commander: Not happening.

For Pikachu
Commander Shepard: Oh, this is what the rage is. Poke...Poke...
EDI: Pokemon, Commander. They a race of creatures that have been captured by young human men and women and made to battle each other.
Commander Shepard: Sounds like the Varren Pits on Tuchanka.
EDI: But these trainers treat thier Pokemon has friends and even family. This particular Pokemon, Pikachu, is able to deliver powerful electric attacks. Commander, if you were able to capture this Pikachu, we could harness that power and integrate it into our systems.
Commander Shepard: EDI, I am not going to catch an electric mouse.
EDI: Commander, I thought you of all people would appreciate an edge for the upcing battle - especially after you spend so much time probing and mining a planet for resources.
Commander Shepard: That isn't the point, EDI.
EDI: I know, Shepard. That was a joke on you.
Commander Shepard: ........

For Donkey Kong
Grunt: SHHEEPARD! Lay him down flat!
Commander Shepard: Thanks Grunt but I think I have my hands full at the moment. This ape is just as strong as a Yahg!
Grunt: Harhar! To think I once considered you a potential enemy! You couldn't pay me to fight you!
Commander Shepard: Look Grunt, you are the fighting-brawling-till-you're-bleeding type. What's this apes weakness?
Grunt: Weakness? A head butt from a Krogan is enough to lay this joker flat.
Commander Shepard: Well, I don't have a Krogan head. I guess I will just try to out manuever him...
Grunts: Well, those Punjacks on Tuchanka likes bananas. Maybe he likes bananas...
Commander Shepard: Grunt, you are one heck of a guy, you know that.
Grunt: SHEEEPARD!!!!!

For Samus
Garrus: Oh, wow. It's Samus! She's been blasting baddies and locking up scum even before I was born. To think she would be caught up in this war!
Commander Shepard: Now is not the time to reveal you've had a century-long crush, Garrus! Do you have any advice to give or are you busy with calibrations?
Garrus: Look at that amazing perforrated armor, that visor and, "gasp" that arm cannon. I imagine she could take me some dance moves that I didn't know.
Commander Shepard: Garrus! Look alive, I am getting eaten alive down here!
Garrus: She has taken down metroids, space pirates, and even large reptiles such as Ridley! No enemy is too big for her. Shepard, if you get a chance, please ask her for an autograph. Please have her sign it "To my dearest Turian fan, Samus." Maybe she may even be willing to part with one of her missiles.
Commander Shepard: GARRUS!!
Garrus: Oh, sorry Shepard. I was....umm...lost in my own thoughts. Well....I gotta.....yeah....
Commander Shepard: For the love of a....

For Fox
Kaidan: Shepard, come in! Can you hear me?
Commander Shepard: Yeah, Kaidan but I am a bit busy at the moment.
Kaidan: I can see that. Well, what you are fighting. It's a fox.
Commander Shepard: I know, Kaidan! A fox with a blaster and a quick reflexes. Tell me something I don't know.
Kaidan: Well, this fox wields a blaster and can move at extremely fast speeds despite being an ace pilot.
Commander Shepard: Kaidan...I appreciate the info but it's a little bit too late.
Kaidan: You should also watch out for the foxes Final Smash...ya know...its final attack and stuff. It's called the "Landmaster"! He will shout "Landmaster!!" and a big, huge tank falls from the sky. I hear they pack a punch.
Commander Shepard: I could use a Mako right about now. Is it ready and on the docking bay, kaidan?
Kaidan: Ehhh...well...we are refueling it right now, Garrus is doign some calibrations on it, and Grunt kinda.....yeah....
Commander Shepard: Looks like I am on my own this time.
Kaidan: Sorry, Shepard.

For Bowser
Commander Shepard: Wrex! Come, in Wrex!
Urdnot Wrex: Shepaard! You are still alive! Looks like the Reapers are runnin' scared of you!
Commander Shepard: Yeah, Wrex but I have a bigger problem. I have a gigantic reptile thrashing me around and blowing fire at me. Who is this guy. A relative of yours?
Urdnot Wrex: Hahahaha...not a chance. That is the mighty king of the koopas, Bowser. He is....well...we might look similar but this guy is rotten to the core. Krogans have honor. Bowser has...well..he is a coward. A krogan never runs away and is never beaten by a plump plumber. This Bowser is constantly disgraced. He doesn't deserve the name of Urdnot Bowser hahaha.
Commander Shepard: I see, well. Since you guys are technically both reptiles, any ideas on how to beat him?
Urdot Wrex: Reptiles??? We are just as different as humans and ...well..humans. Shepard, I thought more of you.
Commander Shepard: Wrex.....ok...I'm sorry about the reptile bit but any idea.
Urdnot Wrex: Watch out for that fire breath! That stuff is the real deal. In order to do that, I have to drink Ryncol but it burns my throat a bit.
Commander Shepard: I see...thanks Wrex.

For Pit,
Commander Shepard: A boy with wings, why am I not surprised.
Liara T'Soni: That is Pit, a warrior and hero for the Angel Land. What I would give to study those ruins.
Commander Shepard: But I have a living and breathing proof that the place still exists standing in front of me.
Liara T'soni: Of course. Still..I would love to study them.
Commander Shepard: Anything on your files, Liara?
Liata T'Soni: Well, according to these...oh thanks Glyph.
Glyph: My Pleasure, Doctor T'Soni.
Liara T'Soni: He can use a unique bow and arrow and effect its trajectory, can fly for short distances, and utilizes a variety of weapons given to him by the gods.
Commander Shepard: So I am fighting a god here?
Liara T'Soni: Well...an angel. Oh wait....By the goddess!
Commander Shepard: Now is not the time, Liara.
Liara T'Soni: No, it says here has an army of angels as his disposal plus the ability to utilize the Three Sacred Treasures. Any information of what they are have been wiped away on all channels.
Commander Shepard: I see. Thank you for the information, Liara.

For Villager
Commander Shepard: Normandy, come in.
BBBBBzzzzzzz......
Commander Shepard: Normandy,c an you read me?
BBBBBBBBzzzzz.....
Commander Shepard: I have a bad fee....
Mordin Solus: Commander Shepard, is that you?
Commander Shepard: Mordin, not who I expected to hear from. Who am I facing here? Do you have any data on my files?
Mordin Solus: New enemy? No. Possibly egenetic mutation. Synthesis? Impossible. I nead a remote data authentification. Could take 3 minutes. Can you wait?
Commander Shepard: Not exactly.
Mordin Solus: I will speed up process. Ok. It's done.........It's human.
Commander Shepard: I can see that it is human but something seems odd.
Mordin Solus: Odd. Possibly. It's human by all accounts. Wait.
Commander Shepard: Yes?
Mordin Solus: He has a round head. Rounder than average for a human. Triangle nose. Angular bangs. Squat posture. Could it be? Is it....possible. No, no, no. But maybe...
Commander Shepard: What is it, Mordin?
Mordin Solus:........yes....it has to be. He's a human.
Commander Shepard: ..........
Mordin Solus: Nn site overstation? Yes, that could work. I can better hypothesis the individual. What do you see, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: He uses axes to cut down trees, digs holes with shovels, plants trees, and captures things and puts them in their pockets.
Mordin Solus: Hmmmm...perculiar. Behavioral patterns all point to being..........human. Shepard, we have a human in our midsts.
Commander Shepard; ..........

WII Fit Trainer

James Vega: Aw, yeah! Rock that body, baby!
Commander Shepard: Hey, I'm not sure if I should be concerned. In anyways, cut the chatter.
James Vega: Sorry, Loco/Lola. I just couldn't resist that body!
Commander Shepard: Wait...mine or....her?
James Vega: Haha, who else? She can do Yoga all night I wouldn't interrupt her.
Commander Shepard: I don't know. She seems awfully...vacant...
James Vega: Yeah, I see what you mean. Kind of reminds me of a.....nahhh
Commander Shepard: A husk.
James Vega: Yeah, but less blue and more white plus she is fully clothed unlike the naked Husks. Plus she isn't clawing, biting, and screaming at you. If she was a Husk, I wouldn't mind her biting me.
Commander Shepard: Enough with th ejokes, Vega. Both you guys are fittness nuts. Got any hints?
James Vega: Those yoga nuts can be pretty crazy. Watch your back and try and be as unhealthy as possible.
Commander Shepard: Thanks....I'll try that...

Megaman
Legion: Shepard Commander, please come in.
Commander Shepard: Legion, I am glad to hear your voice. Any advice about this guy.
Legion: We actually do. Our 1,183 programs have conversed and we have come to the conclusion that the boy in front of you is actually a robot.
Commander Shepard: I see. It makes sense. Anything else.
Legion: It is not unlike a Geth in design. It can absorb information, process, and replicate it into attacks. Quite extraordinary actually.
Commander Shepard: It also seems to have an arm cannon like Samus.
Legion: Yes but the two are not related. Most of his attacks comes from the arm cannon. We have come to the conclsuion that this robot is named Megaman.
Commander Shepard: I see, this is useful information.
Legion: That is not all, Shepard Commander. The robot also possesses a will of its own....an A.I. yet unshackled and completely independant. However, we have surmised that this robot is not like the Geth in that it values others life above its own. A hero if you will.
Commander Shepard: Well, in my travels, I have come into contact with many A.I. I have no reason to not trust them.
Legion: Please be careful Commander Shepard. He might not look like it but he is strong. There is a high probability of death by MegaBuster.
Commander Shepard: Thanks, I will be on my toes.

More to come:

For Luigi:

David Anderson: Commander Shepard, can you hear me?
Commander Shepard: Yes, Captain. I can hear you loud and clear. I am in the middle of a battle though.
David Anderson: Yeah, I can see you have your hands full. Systems Alliance intel just informed me of who you are fighting. That tall, lanky guy is mario7s brother, Luigi. While he may seem a bit non-threatening; he is a very powerful adversary.
Commander Shepard: Living in his brothers shadow....
David Anderson: Yes. He has many of Mario's moves but still has a trick or two up his gloves. He also...well...I am unsure if he is biotic but he can project his negative feelings into attacks. Watch your step.
Commander Shepard: Well, as long as he isn't a Thorian or a Reaper, I should be ok.
David Anderson: Yeah, you fought against a lot of tough enemies. However, I think the worse is just coming. These new foes will be facing; especially this Luigi, will truly test your skills.
Commander Shepard: You don't have to worry, sir. I will continue fighting till my last breathe.
David Anderson: That's what I am afraid of Shepard. We need to alive.
Commander Shepard: Roger that, sir. Shepard, over and out.

For Peach:
Commander Shepard: Shepard to Normandy. Come in, Normady.
Kasumi Goto: I hear you, Shep. What's up?
Commander Shepard: kasumi, how did you get on my ship?
Kasumi Goto: That's not the question. I see you are fighting against Princess Peach.
Commander Shepard: Is that who she is? I didn't take for a princess. She's been tossing out turnips and bombs left and right.
Kasumi Goto: After years of being kidnapped by Bowser, she has learned a few tricks of her sleeves. I wouldn't say she has surpassed yours truly but her ability to take care of herself as deinfintely improved since the first Mario game.
Commander Shepard: I don't suppose you have any good intel on her.
Kasumi Goto: Watch out for those turnips and bombs. She also uses frying pans, golf clubs, and even a butt bounce to defeat her opponents. Watch out for those.
Commander Shepard: A butt bounce.....okaaay....
Kasumi Goto: Hey Shep, if you swipe her crown for me, I would be eternally gratreful.
Commander Shepard: I have a feeling it will be more trouble than its worth...

For Zelda:
Miranda Lawson: Commander Shepard, come in.
Commander Shepard: Miranda, is that you? What's wrong?
Miranda Lawson: I have some information regarding your foe. Her name is Zelda and she is actually a princess...even if she doesn't look it.
Commander Shepard: Man, what's with all of these princesses.
Miranda Lawson: Commander, now is hardly the time to be joking. Your life is in danger. Zelda might look like your average blonde hair princess but she possesses a tremendous power taken from an artifact called the Triforce. Even Cerberus is taking note of the Triforce's power and is attempting to steal it.
Commander Shepard: Yeah, I have seen that magic in action.
Miranda Lawson: She can even transform to her alter ego, Shiek. She has a lot of tricks of her sleeve. However, according to my reports, she isn't evil. She wishes to protect everyone in her Kingdom against evil.
Commander Shepard: I don't really want to fight her but she keeps on coming at me with those attacks. This stupid war...why can't we fight together?
Miranda Lawson: Commander...

For Ganondorf
Illusive Man: Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Illusive man? How did you get on this channel? If you are...
Illusive Man: Relax, Shepard. I can't have you dying before the Reapers take over. We need you. Humanity needs you.
Commander Shepard: Save it. Your actions shows clearly you don't keep humanity's nor the galaxies best interests in mind. I am in a middle of a fight. Don't contact me again.
Illusive Man: I have some valuable data here...on this Ganondorf. He calls himself the King of Evil. Quite the arrogant title and misleading. He is no Reaper. But he does have a mystical and ancient power that comes from an artifact called the Trifoce.
Commander Shepard: No, I will not retrieve this artifact for you. I broke my relations with you and Cerberus years ago.
Illusive Man: No, i can easily get it. I want you to observe the so called King of Evil. My sources say he can perform many magical attacks and even use his massive sword in battle; if the rumors are true. This man, while not a Reaper, can be just as destructive as one. Watch yourself, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: I could be saying the same thing for you

For Yoshi:
Joker: Commander, is that Yoshi?
Commander Shepard: Yeah, I think so. He is Mario's buddy, right?
Joker: They seem to be on friendly terms considering Yoshi let's Mario ride him. Though they seem to be on different sides this time around.
Commander Shepard: I can't tell if thing is a dinosaur, a chameleon, or a dragon.
Joker: I am not sure if anyone knows what it is. It can capture enemies in its mouth, swallow them, and turn them into eggs. It has a very powerful ability. Watch out, Commander.
Commander Shepard: Thanks for the heads up. I'll try and tye its tongue into a bow if it tries to eat me.
Joker: Wouldn't do that, Commander. It's tongue is pretty sticky. One touch will cause you become entangled by it.
Commander Shepard: ugh....kind of like that magazine they sell at the vendors.
Joker: What is seen cannot be unseen. Thanks, Commander...

For Wario:
Steven Hackett: Commander Shepard, watch your back. That is one of the most vile humans in the galaxy, Wario. His greed and envy know no bounds.
Commander Shepard: He kind of looks like Mario. He doesn't look like much of a threat.
Steven Hackett: He is one of Mario's rivals. He would sooner sell everyone to the Reapers for a small amount of coin. His loyalty constantly shifts...much like the Blue Suns or Eclipse.
Commander Shepard: Yeah, I have run into those a couple of times. Your saying he is even worse than them.
Steven Hackett: Yes. Keep your information close, Commander. He may try to save his own skin by sacrificing everyone else to the Reapers. He is best nuetralized.
Commander Shepard: Well, i would like to avoid that is possible but thanks for letting me know.
Steven Hackett: Well...one more thing, Commander. Well....one of his more notorious attacks is...well...an atomic fart.
Commander Shepard: An....atomic fart?
Steven Hackett: Yes, an atomic fart. He is extremely violotale so please be careful.
Commander Shepard; ......I will try.

For Diddy Kong:
Commander Shepard: There's a monkey holding a gun! I'm not going crazy am I?
Kaidan Alenko: No Commander, that's Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong's number one pal. He can throw bannanas and shoot peanuts from his peanut pop gun.
Commander Shepard: First genocidal Reapers and now fighting monkeys. This galaxy is vast and wide. Any idea to fight this monkey, Kaidan?
Kaidan Alenko: Not a clue. My guess is to try and cpature it but...no...it will probably bite you. Plus, monkeys are flexible and nimble.

[collapse=Reasoning and logic: Why Shepard?]
COUNCIL: WHY COMMANDER SHEPARD

I made a move set, added some pictures, and made the post fancy. Does that translate to being a likely character?

Not at all. I would say that Commander Shepard's chances are zero to none. The Commander does not have the neccessary requests nor the Nintendo impact to appear in a Nintendo smash fest. The same can be said for Snake but Snake at least appeared on more than one Nintendo system and game while Commander Shepard appeared in only one game: Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U. However, if the recent release of Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U is considered, this might be the start of a working relationship with BioWare and Nintendo. Bioware has confirmed that Mass Effect will continue though it is unsure if it will include Commander Shepard again or an entirely new storyline. Bearing that in mind, Mass Effect has the chance of appearing again on a Nintendo console. In addition, there is also the Trilogy Edition which would be amazing if released on the Wii U. It is unlikely it will be but not impossible if enough fan support. So, the only argument I can give is that Commander Shepard appeared on one game that was ported to the Wii U.

That is the ONLY reason why I see Commander Shepard POSSIBLY albiet UNLIKELY being included.

However, as I mentioned many times before, Mass Effect is full of interesting content that Smash could take advantage of - especially since Smash is filled with trophies, stages, pictures, music, etc. I went a little board with the amount of content I included (especially the trophies) and I don't see this much content being include IF Commander Shepard is playable.

I am not arguing that Shepard should be in Smash, that Shepard is likely, or even trying to champion the guy/gal. What I am trying to do is throw out an idea, present the idea creatively, provide information, and let others decide if would work out or not. I think Shepard and Mass Effect would be awesome in Smash but, let's face it, it's not going to happen. However, it's not entirely impossible and, therefore, I feel this is a legit character thread.

Therefore, I would like to throw this out that this is not so much a support thread but a discussion and conversation regarding the Commander and Mass Effect content within the Smash Bros. franchise. I felt that Mass Effect possesses infinite content, from characters, stages, items, and trophies, into Smash. Sadly, Mass Effect 3 only appeared on the Wii U and, even that, it was a controversial release since the trilogy set was released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for the same price as Mass effect 3 Wii U. If the trilogy pack was released to the Wii U, the Commanders chances might increase but that is not the case.[/collapse]

[collapse=Disclaimer and word to the Mods]
Regardless, the Commander did appear in a Wii U title which does make him/her somewhat eligible for Smash. Mods, I ask that you not lock this without thought and, if you do, please notify of said close so I can back up my information. It took me a while to compile all of this and it would be a shame to see it go. I would like to keep this thread active and I feel it has potential for constructive discussion and speculation. If you feel that Commander Shepard/Mass Effect does not have the qualifications to have a thread - please inform me.[/collapse]

Cool beans.

Sucks that EA hates Nintendo.
Yeah, it does. While I question the company's moral decisions, they do put out several good games including Mass Effect. I was happy to see it ported to the Wii U.

Regarding the thread,
I have been updating the front post and will continue as I add information. I am sorry if there is too much but please read through it!

Epic, epic first post. Since you already mentioned that it's hellishly unlikely, I won't go into that, so I'll skip right to...

Yeah, I'd play as her.

YES. HER. Jennifer Hale beats out whatever no-name voice actor did the dude voice.

I appreciate the ridiculous amount of time that went into the movesets, but I think I'd probably opt for a single moveset that incorporates the Soldier, Biotic, and Tech abilities into one. Sure, it's not something you could actually select in ME, but it seems a lot more feasible/clean than having many multiple movesets.

@qdMbp: yeah the move set I created was an extreme example and I don't think it could really be implemented easily in Smash. I wanted to capture the feel of Mass Effect by including move sets for the various classes.

However, a Shepard with a combined Soldier, Infiltrator, Adept, Engineer, Vanguard, and Sentinel would work as well. Possibly leading to more interesting moves.

Would absolutely never EVER happen.

But damn if it wouldn't be my favorite thing ever. Mass Effect and Pokemon are my two favorite franchises. To see both of them come together in one game would just be marvelous.

Also, no. Mark Meer is far from my favorite voice actor but nobody irritates me more than Jennifer Hale. She looks down on gamers and is just an all around jerk. I'd like to play as FemShep more but I just can't stand that woman

I don't know anything about the woman herself, but her voice acting is top notch for sure. Any links on hand to the interviews that you disliked? I'm curious now.

Man, I so wanted Shepard as a DLC character in PSALBR, the Soldier/Tech/Bionic split would've worked so well with the 3 attack buttons/3 supers set-up. Would've easily become my main in that game.

Can't say I see the Commander working nearly as well in SSB's design & EA's pulling of support doesn't help matters.

Though Femshep vs. Samus with Jennifer Hale voicing both would be amazing.

I saw it many moons ago but damn if I can't find it now... My brother in law sent it to me I think it was several months after ME2 came out. If I do end up finding it I'll post it here

The soul fact that a moderator made this thread boggles my mind.
I mean, it's not a bad idea, but it seems like something a moderator would lock or dislike.

Nevertheless, I support.

I made this prior to being modded lol. I'm glad it's gotten a surge of popularity.

With both Wii Fit Trainer and Villager being available to both genders, there is a real opportunity to have male and female Shepard join the roster. I don't think it's at all likely, but it would be pretty amazing if they did it. They could even have squad mate cameos like they did with Metal Gear. I'd have a heart attack if Kaidan offered Shepard advice on how to fight certain characters (which is the best I could hope for for my favorite Mass Effect character, unfortunately).
