My son and I are wondering if 2-Player mode counts for the complete Classic on 7.0 or higher with all characters challenge. Anyone know?

As a player who has gone through Classic as every character (even those I did with another player), I can say that it does not count. Unfortunately.

Oh, that's discouraging. I guess he'll have to get good at all the characters I'm too old to get good at using.

I believe the same restriction is extended to All Star Mode on Hard with everyone. That, I feel, is the greater challenge.

But yeah, when you have others to split the clears with, that's a great way to keep sane when trying to beat it with 48 characters. Since fortunately, you don't have to do it with Miis.

That's odd... Most other challenges (the ones that don't specifically tell you that you can't) let you. True All-Star hard with 8 characters can be completed with two players. But it's also hard to keep track of who you have and haven't done. I've been writing everything down myself.
