[2.6] Multiple CSS cursors with only one controller

I have the tendency to play with my controller plugged into the fourth controller. I selected "FIGHT!" to select my character, and both P4 and P1 were available, despite me only having one controller plugged in and my Wiimote having long since turned off. Furthermore, I had control of both hands, which made starting a match pretty much impossible until I unplugged my controller and reconnected it to the P1 slot.

It's nothing game breaking; it's just quite the inconvenience.

Easy way to reproduce, ran into the same bug.

Plug a controller into p2, 3 or 4 slot.
Start a game vs cpu
No contest
Go to training mode
Start training
Finish
Return to VS/Fight and you should have control of both P1 and whatever port your controller is connected to.

I find this to be a fun, easter egg feature and I'm glad it's back.

Very easy to avoid while adding a whole new doubles mode.

It's the best kind of glitch.
